#4 Gravy Bowl match

The Gravy Bowl match!
The Gravy Bowl match!

Food fights are very common in WWE as we often see the Superstars gather for a celebration or something else but end up covering each other in all sorts of dishes. We recently saw this at the Money in the Bank 2020 PPV when all the twelve participants got involved in a food fight inside the WWE Headquarters with Paul Heyman getting stuck between them.

But do you know that once a match was fought in a gravy bowl? A giant gravy bowl, to be precise! The first Gravy Bowl match took place in 1999 between Ivory and Jacqueline with the latter coming out on top. Two years later, on a Thanksgiving special edition of SmackDown, two of the biggest female WWE Superstars of that time, Trish Stratus and Stacy Keibler took on each other in the second match of this kind.

The match started with both of them fighting on a table with Thanksgiving food on it only to soon take the action inside the giant gravy bowl pool. An interesting fact to note here is that Trish's Women's Championship was on the line in this match. In the end, she was able to retain her title by forcing Stacy to tap out to what looked like some version of a camel clutch submission!
