Originally appearing as Nicky from the Spirit Squad, Dolph Ziggler first appeared at Survivor Series back in 2006, when Team Spirit Squad would go on to lose against Team WWE Legends, led by Ric Flair. It would take three years before Ziggler would return to Survivor Series, but this time, ended up being part of a winning team, when Team Miz defeated Team Morrison in a 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination match.

Ziggler would go on to successfully defend both the Intercontinental Championship and United States Championship in the following years against Kaval and John Morrison respectively. Ziggler would continue to have more success at Survivor Series in 2012, when he became the sole survivor of the Survivor Series match, getting two eliminations in the process. He would repeat this feat in 2014 when he was the sole survivor again, this time getting three eliminations, and ousting The Authority from power in the process.

Despite Ziggler had another blemish at Survivor Series 2015 against Tyler Breeze in a singles match, he would go on to redeem himself by being part of the winning Survivor Series Team again in 2018 when Team Raw defeated Team SmackDown.

Taking into account Ziggler has won seven of his nine matches at Survivor Series, he should be among the top choices for SmackDown going into this years’ Survivor Series.
