The Rock has become one of the biggest stars in the world through his transition from WWE to Hollywood. However, despite his success as an actor, he has still shown a lot of love for wrestling quite a few times over the years and has also stepped inside the squared circle over the years.

The 10-time world champion keeps an eye on the product and has praised several WWE superstars on social media. This is usually a big deal because there is a huge audience for everything The Rock does. A lot of active stars have gotten the rub from The Great One on Twitter and Instagram.

This list will be limited to names he hasn't wrestled with or is related to, effectively ruling out the likes of Chris Jericho, John Cena and Roman Reigns. Here are seven current wrestlers The Rock has praised in the past couple of years.

#7 Kevin Owens has earned The Rock's praise multiple times

The Rock has publicly praised Kevin Owens a couple of times, with the first coming after a backstage interaction in February 2017. The Great One was on an episode of WWE RAW, for filming purposes. At the time, the Universal Champion, Owens, stopped by The Rock's dressing room.

KO was subject to some high praise from the WWE legend, who first saw him in 2012. The Rock was impressed by his work, according to the above Instagram post, commending his hard work to reach the top of RAW.

Last week, he responded to Kevin Owens dedicating a well-placed Sunset Flip to Flex Kavana - The Rock's pre-WWE name. The People's Champion praised the move and promised to send him a Teremana. The Rock also sent a shout-out to Baron Corbin, who took the Sunset Flip.

#6 Baron Corbin

Last week wasn't the only time The Rock praised Baron Corbin on social media. The 10-time world champion dedicated an Instagram post to him, following a segment on WWE SmackDown's premiere on FOX.

The Rock entertained fans by embarrassing Corbin in the ring. But in real life, The Great One spoke highly of Corbin, even thanking the former Money in the Bank winner for letting him hit Rock Bottom on him.

The Rock said that he has a lot of talent and potential, which is currently being showcased. The 'broke' gimmick is being highly praised throughout the WWE Universe, and Corbin has made things extremely interesting with his character development.

#5 Becky Lynch stood tall in WWE alongside The Rock

The segment between The Rock and Baron Corbin also featured Becky Lynch, who was considered the biggest full-time WWE superstar at the time. The Man opened the company's premiere on FOX, before being joined by Corbin and The Rock.

Lynch stood tall alongside The People's Champion - a feat very few WWE Superstars have achieved over the years. She joined the likes of John Cena and Ronda Rousey, among a few others. The Rock's status as a global megastar means anybody he praises in the ring is immediately elevated.

He gave Becky Lynch a shout-out on Instagram, just like he did to Corbin. The Great One cited their on-screen chemistry, which could lead to more such segments down the line. This was as much of an endorsement to The Man as sharing the ring with The Rock was.

Lynch is currently away from WWE after announcing her pregnancy last May. Her return seems imminent, though, as the company needs her star power to boost its women's division. This star power was cultivated through extended interactions with legends like The Rock.

#4 AJ Styles sold the Stone Cold Stunner like The Rock

A few weeks before The Rock made his WWE return on SmackDown alongside Becky Lynch and Baron Corbin, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin was on RAW. The Rattlesnake hit AJ Styles with a stunner that night, the GIF of which caught The Great One's attention.

The Rock responded to Austin's tweet about it, praising Styles for the way he sold the move. This is incredibly high praise for The Phenomenal One, coming from the king of selling Stunners.

The Hollywood star went on to state that the segment between Steve Austin and AJ Styles brought down the house, following an Attitude Era inside joke.

#3 Cody Rhodes

The Rock's wrestling praise goes beyond WWE Superstars. He also has an eye on AEW's product, as evidenced by his reaction to Cody Rhodes' passionate promo in the build up to his world title match against Chris Jericho at AEW Full Gear 2019.

Again, this is incredibly high praise coming from possibly the greatest talker in wrestling history. Rhodes impressed The Great One on various aspects of this promo, including rhythm and execution. This remains one of the most emotional moments in AEW Dynamite history.

This was not the first time The Rock has heaped praise on Cody Rhodes and his work outside WWE. The Hollywood star previously congratulated him after winning the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship at AEW All In.

#2 Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler's best years in WWE came when The Rock was still wrestling part-time, which makes it natural that The Great One recognizes his talent. While The Showoff has been a constant presence in the midcard for years, he challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules 2020.

WWE's Instagram account posted a picture of Ziggler with the title before the match, to which The Rock commented that he supports the idea of him becoming WWE Champion. McIntyre even responded to his comment with a familiar catchphrase, as can be seen in the above tweet.

While Ziggler did not win the WWE Champion, The Rock's endorsement proves how good he is.

#1 R-Truth is a future WWE Hall of Famer, according to The Rock

R-Truth has evolved into one of the most entertaining and beloved Superstars in WWE. He remains a part of RAW, despite approaching 50 years of age. In fact, Truth is around six months older than The Rock too.

The 53-time 24/7 Champion posted a funny TikTok video on social media, using Teremana Tequila - which is founded by The Rock himself. The Rock responded to the video, calling R-Truth a man of many talents.

The Great One even dubbed him a future WWE Hall of Famer. Truth certainly warrants an induction, given his entertainment value and timelessness.
