WrestleMania 35 : 7 Things WWE should avoid doing this PPV

Brock Lesnar shouldn't go over at Mania
Brock Lesnar shouldn't go over at Mania

The grandest stage of them all is almost upon us. We are three weeks away from the biggest wrestling extravaganza of all time, and the card is shaping up to be one of the very best in recent memory.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.

We could possibly see a women's match closing the show. That has never happened in the history of WrestleMania.

Additionally, we could finally see the end to Brock Lesnar's reign of terror, when Rollins manages to pin him in the middle of the ring and wins the Universal title.

If history is to be believed, WWE doesn't always deliver when it comes to the show of shows. We don't even need to go far into the past.

Last year, fans were expecting Nakamura, Asuka and Reigns to come out on top and beat the heels in the three main events of WrestleMania 34. None of those things happened. Brock Lesnar's win was a last minute decision by WWE.

We might be getting another set of mistakes this year, in WWE's attempt to swerve the fans. Let's look at some things WWE needs to avoid making at WrestleMania 35.

#7 Don't waste the Battle Royal winner

Cesaro's push didn't go anywhere
Cesaro's push didn't go anywhere

Ever since Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal was announced by Hulk Hogan in 2014, the match has become a Mania staple. What concerns the fans her is the fact that till date, none of the winners has gone onto doing much of note on the main roster.

Cesaro was the inaugural winner of the battle royal when he bodyslammed The Big Show to win the trophy at WrestleMania 30. His push didn't go anywhere after that. The same happened with Corbin and Mojo Rawley.

What the company needs to do here is make sure that they let someone win the match, who they intend to push to the Moon after WrestleMania. The obvious choice here would be someone like EC3, who hasn't done much of note ever since he debuted on Raw, but has tons of potential. Pushing the winner of the battle royal would help enhance the credibility of the match, making the fans actually care for it next year.

#6 The Miz can't go over Shane

Shane should win at Mania
Shane should win at Mania

Even though this seems like the most far-fetched idea in the world, this actually needs to happen at Mania.

Shane McMahon has turned into a full-blown heel for the first time in more than a decade. He attacked The Miz and his dad after their loss to The Usos at WWE Fastlane, and the match was set for WrestleMania.

Shane as a heel is one of the freshest ideas in recent memory, and WWE needs to go along with it for a good while. A win over The Miz would do wonders for a heel Shane, while it wouldn't hurt The Miz's credibility at all, as he has already proven himself to be a bonafide Superstar.

A heel Shane could actually play into the McMahon vs McMahon power struggle storyline that we could get after Mania, ending with Triple H vs Shane McMahon at Summerslam for the control of WWE.

#5 Don't give Alexa Bliss too much screen time

Bliss shouldn't take too much screen time
Bliss shouldn't take too much screen time

The former Women's champion on the red brand has been announced as the host of WrestleMania 35. Whenever the company announces a wrestler as a host for a major event like Mania, it becomes clear that they don't have a storyline for the said Superstar. It happened with The Miz at Summerslam and The New Day at WrestleMania 33.

What these Superstars end up doing is waste screen time on pointless cameos that could have been given to actual matches on the card. WWE should make sure to not give Bliss multiple appearances throughout the night.

She should come out to welcome the fans to the event, and then announce the attendance sometime in the middle of the show. Anything more than that would result in precious match-time being reduced, and that's the last thing fans want from the biggest wrestling event of the year.

#4 In case they fight, Roman Reigns shouldn't defeat Drew McIntyre

This match could kick off Drew's main event push
This match could kick off Drew's main event push

Ever since The Scottish Psychopath debuted on Raw, he has done nothing of worth and the fans aren't too pleased with WWE on how they have handled this Superstar.

McIntyre has the looks and mic skills to become a mainstay on the top of the Raw roster. The company has a golden opportunity at WrestleMania 35 when The Big Dog goes head to head with The Scottish Psychopath in a possible Mania marquee match. Reigns has recently made a comeback and fans are cheering him.

Letting him go over McIntyre and thrusting him back to the Universal title picture would immediately turn the WWE Universe on him.

Instead, McIntyre should go over Reigns at WrestleMania. This will elevate him to the main event, where Seth Rollins would be waiting for him. WWE needs more credible heels at this point, and Drew McIntyre is someone they could rely on for years to come.

#3 Kofi Kingston can't afford to lose

Kofi Kingston needs to win at Mania
Kofi Kingston needs to win at Mania

WWE has a golden goose in the form of Kofi Kingston at the moment. They had completely different plans for Mania, but everything changed after a gauntlet match on SmackDown Live. Kofi gave the performance of a lifetime and lasted almost an hour inside the ring.

The fans began cheering for Kofi once again, and this time, the roars were deafening. WWE will give Kofi a shot at the WWE title on the Grandest Stage Of Them All. But there's still a chance that they could try to swerve the fans and let Bryan steal the win.

This would enrage the sea of fans inside the stadium to no end, and the decision would be booed out of the building.

Kofi's moment has finally come, just like Daniel Bryan's moment came in 2014. Kofi needs to win the top prize and get one of the loudest cheers in WrestleMania history.

#2 Becky shouldn't pin Charlotte

This match needs a definitive finish
This match needs a definitive finish

WWE has finally managed to give us a legit women's main event on the grandest stage of them all. Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair would be facing off in a triple threat match for the Raw Women's title, in a match that could possibly end the show!

youtube-cover

In order to turn Becky Lynch into a bonafide star, WWE needs to let her pin or submit Ronda Rousey in the middle of the ring. In order to protect Rousey, WWE could give us the finish of Becky pinning Charlotte to win the title, but that won't help The Man in the long run.

The Man is the second most famous female athlete on Twitter at the moment, even surpassing her two opponents! Lynch needs to win the match in proper fashion so that she could go on to become one of the pioneers for the Women's Revolution in WWE for years to come.

#1 Brock's reign of terror needs to end

Fans have had enough of Lesnar's reign
Fans have had enough of Lesnar's reign

Brock Lesnar's return in 2012 was met with a sea of cheers, as he was seen in a WWE ring after eight long years. The aura didn't remain for long though.

Lesnar secured a perk-filled contract from WWE and has turned the Universal title into a joke. The championship belt is rarely seen on Raw and is only defended on special PPVs like "The Big 4". It's about time WWE rids us of Brock's reign of terror and let Seth Rollins win the belt.

youtube-cover

WWE swerved us at the last minute at WrestleMania 34, when Vince changed the finish to the Universal title match and let Lesnar leave the stadium with the title. This shouldn't happen at WrestleMania 35, or else Rollins would end up another casualty of Brock Lesnar, just like Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe.

Rollins is the most over Superstar in WWE at the moment and needs to hold the Universal title in order to cement his place among the all-time greats.
