Chris Jericho's Thanksgiving extravaganza

This week's episode of All Elite Wrestling Dynamite kicked off with AEW World Champion Chris Jericho's thanksgiving celebration. The proceedings were kicked off by Soul Train Jones aka WWE legend Virgil who introduced le champion. Jericho came out and called out the fans in Chicago before inviting the rest of the Inner Circle to come out.

It was Sammy Guevara's turn to give Jericho his present first and he revealed a lifesize cutout of a photo of him and le champion hugging. Proud and Powerful were next, they gifted Jericho with an assorted basket of goodies. Last to give his present was Jake Hager who came out with a goat he'd dubbed Chris Jerigoat.

Then Jericho's attention turned to the biggest present in the ring. It turned out that Jericho's father Ted Irvine, who's a New York Rangers legend, was inside. Jericho's dad also ran down Chicago and the Blackhawks before presenting the members of the Inner Circle with custom Rangers jerseys.

Jericho then invited Justin Roberts into the ring to read out the thank you statement from TNT execs. After being unhappy with Roberts' delivery, Jericho and the Inner Circle pounced on him only for SCU to come and make the save.

Lucha Bros vs Best Friends

The first match of the night saw Chuckie T and Trent take Pentagon and Fenix, the Lucha Bros. The Lucha Bros didn't waste any time and attacked Taylor and Trent as they were still making their way down to the ring.

The Best Friends have had a good record against the Lucha Bros in recent weeks, with Trent beating Pentagon on AEW dark. It looked like this streak would end as the Lucha Bros dominated the early stages of the match. Taylor and Trent were unable to match the ferocity and pace of the Lucha Bros in the early stages.

Trent and Chuck eventually got back in the match, digging down deep and giving it all they had. The closing stages of the match saw Fenix hitting his own partner by mistake. Trent made no mistake from this point. He had Pentagon exactly where he wanted him and we got a flash from AEW Dark. Trent hit Pentagon Jr with the Dudebuster and picked up a massive win for his team.

After this massive win, it won't be surprising to see Chuckie T and Trent getting a shot at the AEW Tag-Team Championships soon.

Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander vs Bea Priestly and Emi Sakura

Kris Statlander made her Dynamite debut tonight as she teamed up with Hikaru Shida to take on Bea Priestley and Emi Sakura.

Sakura and Priestly attacked their opponents before the bell had a chance to ring. The heels took control early on but Statlander wasn't kept down for long, using her size and strength to maximum advantage.

Shida came in on the hot tag and took out Sakura at ringside. The action continued in the ring and Shida showed fans why she's the #1 contender. Statlander, for her part, looked like a fantastic addition to the All Elite Wrestling women's division. Statlander came close to winning the match, sending Sakura face-first into the mat from an electric chair position. Statlander then hit a scissors kick for a nearfall before following it up with a Michinoku Driver. The ensuing count was broken up by Priestly.

As the referee had his back turned at this point, Sakura hit Statlander with the mic stand she comes down to the ring with before pinning her.

Cody vs Matt Nicks

Butcher and Blade assault Cody on their AEW debut

Cody took the mic after the match and called out MJF, saying they didn't have to wait to get their hands on each other if that's what he wanted. As Cody was speaking, we saw someone cut a hole in the canvas and come out from under the ring. It turned out to be Blade who immediately attacked Cody. He was followed out by Butcher and the duo hit Cody with a nasty looking double team maneuver.

Butcher and Blade were now followed out by their manager, the woman who's seemingly brought them together to AEW, Allie. Allie was referred to as 'the Bunny' by commentatory so this could be her new persona and it could have been Brandi Rhodes' attacked who instigated all this. We will have to wait till next week's episode of AEW Dynamite to find out more.

PAC vs Kenny Omega

PAC and Kenny Omega wrestled each other in the Sears Center on August 31st at All Out. That match was won by PAC after submitting Omega with the Brutalzier. Omega finally got a shot at revenge on Dynamite tonight.

The match started at a frantic pace, with Omega on top early on. Kenny sent PAC rolling out to ringside following a Dragon Suplex in the early stages of the match before following it up with a dive over the top ropes. Kenny seemed to be favoring his knee after the dive and PAC caught him with a dropkick as he tried to make his way back into the ring.

PAC thought he had he opening he wanted by Omega hit him with another Dragon Suplex. Omega looked to follow it up with a Dragon Suplex from the apron to the floor but PAC blocked it and elbowed Omega, sending him crashing to the floor. PAC quickly headed to the top rope and hit Omega with a moonsault as we headed to commercial.

Back from the break, we saw Omega and PAC trading strikes. Omega caught PAC with a pump kick before PAC hit back with a superkick of his own. PAC followed it up with a nasty looking lariat as both men went down in a heap. PAC was the first to get back on his feet and hit Omega with a Falcon Arrow from the top rope. PAC looked to follow it up with the Black Arrow but ate the mat after Omega rolled out of the way. Omega immediately followed it up with a V-Trigger and went to follow it up with the One Winged Angel. PAC managed to break free but Omega rolled PAC up for a crucifix pin to win the match.

MJF vs Hangman Page (for the Dynamite Diamond ring)

MJF has Wardlow at ringside with him as his insurance policy. However, that didn't stop Adam Page from unloading on MJF in the early stages of the match. Page took MJF out to ringside and dumped him into the crowd.

MJF showed his guile at this point, distracting the referee, as Wardlow got involved at ringside, sending Page shoulder-first into the ring post. MJF continued to focus on Page's left arm but the big man wouldn't be held down.

Page hit MJF with a Fallaway Slam before clotheslining him out of the ring. The big man hit MJF with a suicide dive before heading to the top rope and hitting a moonsault out to ringside. Page finally connected with a Buckshot Lariat but Wardlow put MJF's foot on the bottom rope at the last second. MJF had the referee distracted again as Wardlow caught Page in the face with a right hand. MJF capitalized and hit Page with the Cross Rhodes to win the match.

MJF def. Hangman Page

After the match was over, it was time for WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page to present MJF with the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

DDP presents MJF with the Dynamite Diamond ring

Wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page was out to present the Dynamite Diamond ring to MJF. DDP presented MJF with the ring and tried to be the bigger man but MJF's disrespect got to him. This led to Page and Wardlow going face to face. Page didn't back off from Wardlow and it led to a scuffled, forcing security coming out to keep them apart. DDP looked great in this segment and who knows, maybe this will lead to a match in the future.

Dustin Rhodes calls out Jake Hager

Dustin Rhodes was out next to be interviewed by Jenn Steger. Rhodes called out Jake Hager for assaulting him in the parking lot a few weeks ago and breaking his arm. Sammy Guevara ran out and tried to attack Rhodes while he was mid-interview. Guevara was soon joined by Santana and Ortiz and the numbers game proved to be too overwhelming.

The Young Bucks were on hand and came out to turn the tables. They dished out Superkicks before setting all three members of the Inner Circle in the corner and it was time for some Shattered Dreams.

Chris Jericho (C) vs Scorpio Sky (for the AEW World Championship)

Both men felt each other out in the early stages of the match before trading shoulder tackles. Sky took Jericho down with a dropkick and then clotheslined him out of the ring. He followed it up with a running boot at ringside to take control of the match.

Sky continued his dominance until Jericho hit his trademark dropkick to the apron to send Sky crashing out to ringside. Jericho followed Sky out to ringside and sent him head-first into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Scorpio Sky hit back with a neckbreaker to give himself an opening. He followed it up with a Lou Thesz Press and then hit a dropkick. Sky continued with momentum with a Springboard Cutter for the nearfall.

Sky then headed to the top rope but this turned out to be a miscalculation. Jericho caught him on the way down and turned it into a Liontamer. Sky broke free and locked in a Dragon Sleeper of his own. Jake Hager came out at this point but SCU came out to even things out.

With the referee distracted by the commotion at ringside, Jericho tried to hit Sky with the title belt. Sky dodged it and hit Jericho with his finisher but it was only a nearfall. Jericho hit back with a Codebreaker for a nearfall of his own before locking in the Liontamer, forcing Sky to tap out.

Jon Moxley came out through the crowd after the match to signal his intent. Jericho vs Moxley looks set to be Jericho's next feud.
