I laugh at the worst of jokes (which explains how I've been a WWE fan for so very long) but the whole deal with Santina wasn't funny at all, I thought. I can only assume that Sasha Banks is out of commission and WWE needed someone to take her place. I'm guessing that they did not want to bring another legend back and hence, settled for Santina.
The self-elimination spot wasn't funny at all, and honestly, a lot of people have just forgotten about Santina. R-Truth entering the women's Royal Rumble by mistake would have been much funnier if they really wanted a man in the women's match. The crowd did not react to the Santina spot live, and they've been pretty much butchering the whole thing on social media (not that the WWE universe online likes most things, but still!)
I would have chosen to bring in someone from NXT instead and have her get eliminated, but just have her name out there, as an introduction to the world.
