CM Punk Rumors: Major backstage details emerge...confirming former WWE Superstar's return to the ring?
What's the story?
In case you didn't know...
Many wrestling fans all over the world and in the WWE Universe have always wondered whether CM Punk would ever return to pro wrestling. An earlier report seemed to confirm that he has returned to the ring, as a masked man hitting a G.T.S on Daryck St. Holmes.
Punk has been making moves everywhere except pro wrestling. He's recently made his acting debut in a horror film, serves as a commentator for an MMA promotion and also is providing insights on sports shows.
But wrestling and Punk can never stay apart forever. It was his passion for professional wrestling that made him a superstar. While he has said that he is now an MMA and/or UFC fighter, there might be still an itch to return to his first love.
The heart of the matter
As reported by Wrestling Inc, CM Punk has been confirmed to be the masked man who invaded the MKE Wrestling event. Wrestling Inc. goes on to provide major backstage details in regards to the Straight Edge's superstar's return to the ring.
Wrestling Inc has learned that at one point the plan had been for Punk to actually take the mask off after hitting the GTS. That did not happen, obviously, and Punk left while masked after the match. We have also been told that Punk waited in his car outside the venue before making his appearance and left immediately afterwards.
Adding more confirmation to CM Punk's return, sports reporter Jon Alba tweeted photo evidence.
With CM Punk, you'll never know what to expect. Will he sign with AEW? Will he appear in Ring of Honor? Is this a one night only deal? As Sting used to say, 'Nothing's for sure.'
