Fantasy booking some of the top title matches at Wrestlemania 35

The 35th WrestleMania will set the WWE up for some big changes in 2019

As things currently sit, the Universal Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins is the only match that is officially set in stone for WrestleMania 35.

Follow Sportskeeda for the latest WWE news, rumors and all other wrestling news.

While we are also heading to a triple threat match for the Raw Women's Title between Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, the match merely needs to be a singles bout between The Man and The Baddest Woman On The Planet.

Flair can be better utilized elsewhere on the card and could easily jump over to whichever brand Lynch ends up on during the Superstar Shake Up.

Several title situations are cloudy at the moment as any team could challenge the Usos on SmackDown or the Revival on Raw, provided both teams are champions once WrestleMania finally hits.

But working with the rosters as they currently are, there are many match-ups that would be great for everyone involved if booked by WWE.

A lot can obviously happen with under a month to go and the Fastlane PPV next up on the schedule, but here are some fantasy match-ups for six of the title matches at WrestleMania 35.

SmackDown Women's Title: Asuka (c) vs. Naomi vs. Nikki Cross

This should be a triple threat match rather than the Raw Women's Title match
This should be a triple threat match rather than the Raw Women's Title match

While I'd prefer for this to be a sequel to last year's match between Charlotte Flair and Asuka since it was a great match, Flair has been thrust into the Raw Woman's Title program alongside Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch.

Since the rest of believable challengers for Asuka are either hurt (Ember Moon) or likely busy elsewhere on the card (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Lynch, Flair), the remaining women who could give Asuka a decent match at the event are Naomi and Nikki Cross.

Naomi is almost like the female Kofi Kingston in terms of athleticism and creativity on offense. Nikki Cross is literally a chaotic wild-card that could actually believably take Asuka's offensive attacks and keep coming.

Alexa Bliss and Ruby Riott would also be decent challengers, but they are Raw superstars and WWE doesn't want any more brand-jumping until after WrestleMania 35.

There have been rumors that Lacey Evans might be facing the Empress of Tomorrow in April, but that would be a huge mistake since she's had almost no matches. Not to mention she hasn't earned it yet.

Cross might be in the same situation but she was in NXT for a long time before finally getting the call up to the main roster.

Evans can get a shot later in the year if that's truly the way that WWE wants to go after the biggest show of the year is over.

United States Championship: Andrade (c) vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Samoa Joe vs. Mustafa Ali

A multi-man match of this sort would be a great way to kick off the main card of the show
A multi-man match of this sort would be a great way to kick off the main card of the show

R-Truth has to be a transitional champion in order to put the title on someone else, right? Not that he hasn't been entertaining or anything lately, it just seems like he's a placeholder until WWE decides who they want to defend the least important title on the roster.

Mysterio and Andrade might have a singles match at the Show of Shows, but as they displayed in the triple threat match on SmackDown, they both would thrive in a multi-man match.

Throw in Samoa Joe as well because it's apparent he isn't destined to be a top champion in WWE. He might find some mid-card gold and could actually help elevate the title if given the opportunity to do so.

WWE has some sort of plan for Andrade, otherwise, they wouldn't have given him a showcase feud lately with Mysterio.

Not every Superstar will make it on to the main show this year like every year, so the best way to maximize these types of stars might be to book a multi-man match for the US Championship.

It could even be a ladder match, but I don't think a match like this would need a stipulation to make it worth watching.

Hopefully, Mustafa Ali will be cleared in time because he was becoming an exciting addition to the SmackDown roster.

For this to make sense, Andrade or Mysterio could easily win the US Title before WrestleMania and the rest could stake claim to the title in order to gain entry into the match.

Women's Tag Team Titles: Bayley and Sasha Banks (c) vs. Sky Pirates vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

Bayley and Banks will get by Nia Jax and Tamina at Fastlane
Bayley and Banks will get by Nia Jax and Tamina at Fastlane

Depending on how WWE books the champions to defend the newest titles to the company, a multi-team match, like the US Championship, might be a good way to provide a great showcase match at WrestleMania 35.

Nia Jax and Tamina are getting a shot at Fastlane and they aren't going to win that match. The team is only a threat because of the way Nia Jax is treated as Tamina is part of the team to take the pins.

WWE might eventually rotate the shows which the challengers come from, but an easy way to showcase a team from each brand might be to have one from SmackDown and one from NXT.

None of the other female teams right now seem like they would be good enough to carry the tag team division for the women. Banks and Bayley are, so they should have a long reign.

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were booked almost as strong as the Boss 'N Hug Connection at Elimination Chamber, so they should be involved. They've both improved in the ring over the last year.

I know Io Shirai is likely headed for an NXT Women's Title match the night before, but with only a match or two under their belts, the Sky Pirates (Shirai and Kairi Sane) are much more exciting to me than any of the other tag teams on SmackDown or Raw.

The Riott Squad isn't their yet and the IIconics haven't had the best booking on the main roster of WWE.

WWE might want to bring back two of the biggest names from the past in Lita and Trish Stratus in order to provide the biggest match possible, but this should be a showcase of current talent.

Raw Women's Title: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Becky Lynch

This match should only be a singles match but with Lynch, not Flair as it stands
This match should only be a singles match but with Lynch, not Flair as it stands

The two women who started the fire last fall should be the two women who headlining WrestleMania 35.

While Charlotte Flair is obviously one of the best female wrestlers of all time, her involvement in the feud has often felt forced throughout the last few months and the fact that she was merely placed into the match by Mr. McMahon confirms that.

She (Flair) could have easily staked her claim to a match due to the fact that Lynch technically wasn't an entrant into the Royal Rumble, but instead, her involvement angers fans even more.

But fans are stark-raving mad for Lynch right now and her name is the one that is chanted when either Rousey or Flair is in the ring.

Flair should be challenging Asuka to help ensure another great women's match on the card. But alas, we are headed for a triple threat once Lynch is inevitably reinstated.

Lynch and Flair are likely to feud again after 'Mania is over but The Man and Rousey need to settle their business alone without a third wheel in order to give the feud the proper pay-off.

Intercontinental Championship: Finn Balor (c) vs. Ricochet

Excitement would be a guarantee
Excitement would be a guarantee

If WWE really wanted to get fans excited for an Intercontinental Title match at WrestleMania 35, there are fewer options that would rile fans up than Balor vs. Ricochet.

They wouldn't have to be bitter enemies but respected allies who simply want to put forth the best match possible.

Ricochet has already established himself as one of the most exciting superstars in all of WWE, and although it might be too soon to thrust him into a title program, the fans are already behind him due to his astounding athleticism.

Elias and Balor have fought numerous times before as have other possible contenders in Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre.

Since there are few exciting options for Balor at the show, give the fans an exhibition with two of the most popular and athletic stars in the WWE. The sportsmanship would be respected and it would certainly be one of the most anticipated matches of the night.

WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kofi Kingston

Will WWE finally give long-time veteran Kofi Kingston a run with the WWE Championship?
Will WWE finally give long-time veteran Kofi Kingston a run with the WWE Championship?

While I'd still like to see AJ Styles featured prominently at WrestleMania rather than in a potential match against Randy Orton, the options for challengers for Daniel Bryan are limited.

Rey Mysterio is still embroiled in a feud with Andrade and Jeff Hardy is a part of a tag team once again. Samoa Joe would be a good opponent but a face would also need to be added in that scenario.

I like the idea of a face Kevin Owens challenging Bryan at WrestleMania, but things got switched around this week with Owens replacing Kingston at Fastlane.

It's all a device to get even more sympathy for Kingston to cause the crowd to explode once he eventually gets the title shot a month later than originally planned. You cannot argue that Kingston doesn't deserve it or that he cannot deliver on the big stage.

We've already seen what Kingston and Bryan are capable of when they've squared off, but the payoff would be even greater since they are technically 1-1 against each other.

Kingston pinned Bryan in the gauntlet match and Bryan defeated Kingston in the Elimination Chamber. While it won't be treated like the main event, it will be a match similar to when Bryan defied the odds and beat all three members of Evolution at WrestleMania 30.

He was told he wasn't good enough by the Authority, and Kingston's current storyline certainly mirrors that.
