Five wrestlers who have no future in the WWE

Khali up against Kane

In the professional wrestling business it is always important for a federation to keep its roster glossed with talent, and the WWE is no exception. With an equal balance of superstars and jobbers, WWE maintains a roster which the other federations dream of having. But a problem that the company faces at the moment is the inefficiency of the creative team to make use of the talent which is at their disposal. While most of the mid carders’ futures have been affected by this problem there is another category of wrestlers who are just a liability to the company. Whether they belong to the first category or the second, these are the wrestlers who are wasting their time trying to make a name inside the ring. So here’s a look at five wrestlers who have no future in the WWE at the current situation.

The Great Khali

Khali up against Kane

WWE has been always fond of giants and most of the giants they had were athletic unlike the Punjabi playboy. The reason why the Great Khali is still in the roster is WWE’s misinterpretation that he is the reason why Indians watches the show. Khali, who came into the business with a feud with the Undertaker, never looked like reaching the levels of Andre the Giant, even though it was the plan. The fall of Khali from a man who destroyed the Undertaker to a guy who invites fans to kiss him in the ring itself showed the desperation of WWE to incorporate the giant into something. A lack of a good story line coupled with bad wrestling skills is a deadly combination that shouldn’t be kept on the roster by any federation.

Ezekiel Jackson

WWE Smackdown Live Tour in Durban

Another big guy in the business, he would be more suited to body building than professional wrestling. The company’s new policy of talent over physique will be salt in the wound for Jackson who surprisingly holds the prestigious tag of being the last ECW World Champion. With nothing to boast other than a basic set of moves including slams and the torture rack, the company’s attempts to push this guy always ended miserably. Though he might fit in the roles of being a bodyguard or a bouncer, there are no signs that suggest that Jackson is going to be here for the long stay.

Jinder Mahal

Jinder Mahal

Maybe the WWE ain’t a good place for the Indian descents; Mahal made his debut at a very young age of 24 years and never really picked up from there and being part of a joker band isn’t helping the wrestler by any bit. Though he is still young and could prove his mettle in the future, Mahal hasn’t shown the skill with the microphone or inside the ring which suggests his rise as a star. Maybe a run in the independent circuit could prove ideal for him but in the current situation, he is someone who has no future in professional wrestling and the singing band for that matter.

Drew McIntyre

Drew-McIntyre

A couple of years back he was the chosen one and was seen in a similar mould of CM Punk or Daniel Bryan, but the situation took a drastic twist and he has ended up as a comedic heel. And it is unlikely that he will be given the limelight again making McIntyre suffer one of the most monumental falls in professional wrestling in the modern era. While he has the in-ring ability and crowd pulling factors unlike most in this list, McIntyre might be one of the wrestlers who failed to go with the flow and eventually crashed by the writers. A good feud could still propel him to greatness but at the present moment nothing seems to help this talent.

Zack Ryder

WWE Monday Night Raw Supershow Halloween Night

He might be one of the most followed WWE superstars in Twitter but Ryder is someone who is yet to prove his talent in the ring. And the company hasn’t given him any push to make him do that as they are busy cashing in on his social media popularity. Ryder sells more merchandise than most of the main eventers in the business, but that’s pretty much about it to say about him. He hasn’t been in any notable storyline or any feud which shows the company’s reluctance to establish him as a wrestler. His current role brings money to both the company and him but as a wrestler Ryder is still remaining undeveloped and it will be a matter of time when the WWE will be thinking about unloading him after his social media profile starts to degrade.
