Multiple WWE Superstars have portrayed various characters in their careers, but some of them have found major success in specific ones. This was the case for Baron Corbin, who was best known for his gimmick of The Lone Wolf, and it looks like he's looking to revert to his previous persona.
Ever since Corbin's time at NXT in 2014, up until his main roster stint in 2017, he had a notable and dominant run as The Lone Wolf. While portraying the character, he was cocky and would often taunt the crowd, but he would always get the job done in the ring. Later on, he began portraying a Constable, a King, Broke Corbin, and then Happy Corbin.
In an interview with Catch Club, Baron Corbin revealed that he wanted to return to The Lone Wolf, but with a twist. The former United States Champion stated that the aforementioned character was one-dimensional and that he wanted to incorporate all personalities of his previous character.
"I would love to get back to that grittiness of 'The Lone Wolf,' but mix a little bit of everything in it. The Lone Wolf was a little one-dimensional. It didn't have all that dimensions that I think you need to be a John Cena or a Roman Reigns...So when I've gotten these different characters through the time, they've all been very different... I've given everybody every emotion now. Let's combine them all, put them into one thing, and make some magic."
From the looks of it, Baron Corbin may bring back The Lone Wolf. The character proved to be successful in his early run, and with his vision of upgrading it, it won't seem as repetitive.
Baron Corbin recently broke a personal WWE streak
While the 38-year-old WWE star had a great reception from fans at the beginning of his career, the same can't be said currently. After JBL ended his partnership with the superstar, he hasn't had the best time in the ring and always ended up losing.
However, things changed for the better at the beginning of the month. While performing in Paris during a WWE house show, Corbin received a great reception from fans and even broke his 167 days losing streak by defeating Rick Boogs.
"Wow!!! Tonight was beyond INCREDIBLE!! Thank you #WWEParis I think I have to move here now bc this was a night I will never forget!" Baron Corbin tweeted after the match.
