WWE Monday Night RAW will air tonight, and the show is bound to be a good one. This program will be coming off the heels of an extremely hot addition of RAW last week, which was notable for having multiple returns and big-time segments.
Along with those returns and segments, the program last week also featured the beginning of the King of the Ring Tournament. That tournament will continue on RAW with an opening round Fatal 4-Way Match featuring Bronson Reed, Jey Uso, Sheamus, and Rusev in what should be a slobberknocker.
With that being said, many have been critical of Jey Uso's inclusion in the bout. In fact, many names have been thrown around as better options. One name not mentioned often is Goldberg, but he should be the one to replace Jey in the tournament.
Da Man is reportedly returning to Monday Night RAW tonight. This will be his first appearance since Bad Blood last year, which was his first time at a show in a long time. Not only should the legend replace Jey tonight in the opening round match, but he should also go on to win the entire tournament. This article will look at several reasons why Goldberg replacing Jey and winning King of the Ring is the right move.

Below are three reasons why Goldberg must enter and win the WWE King of the Ring tournament.
#3. A win would set up a proper match with Gunther for WWE SummerSlam
As noted, Goldberg's actual WWE return took place at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event last year. Da Man was in the front row enjoying the show, while Gunther had a segment alongside Triple H in the ring.
Things went awry, however, and Gunther began to talk smack about the WWE Hall of Famer. This led to the former WCW star attempting to fight The Ring General and security and officials keeping the two apart.
This was just a teaser for a feud that fans have been expecting for a while now. While most assume Goldberg will simply show up on RAW tonight and challenge Gunther to a match in Saudi Arabia, Triple H and WWE could go a different route.
They could truly have Goldberg earn a world title opportunity. If he wins the King of the Ring Tournament and battles Gunther at SummerSlam, the title shot would be earned, and it would be on the biggest stage possible besides WrestleMania. It just makes sense.
#2. Jey Uso needs a break from the world title picture, so replacing him is best
Jey Uso was the World Heavyweight Champion until WWE RAW last week. He battled Gunther in the main event of the show, but ultimately lost to The Ring General in a hard-fought 20+ minute war.
From there, Jey was added to the last King of the Ring Tournament opening round match by Adam Pearce on Friday. While some WWE fans were excited by this news, many were disappointed. Jey is a bit stale and just spent time on top.
Goldberg winning the King of the Ring Tournament, especially by taking Jey's spot, is for the best. Not only would it be fresh and different, but it might help prevent fans from eventually turning on Jey. Pushing Uso too much and too often could lead to long-term backlash if Triple H isn't careful. Let Goldberg win it instead.
#1. This would set up a feud with Seth Rollins and his stable
Seth Rollins is looking to take over WWE. He formed a new stable after Paul Heyman betrayed CM Punk and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Now, Big Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker are also by his side.
The Visionary is also the Men's Money in the Bank briefcase holder. He captured it just over a week ago, albeit thanks to help from his faction. In what could be a major swerve, however, that may not come into play, and instead, a different story could be told. At least, that could be how it starts.
An interesting story could play out where Seth Rollins is scared to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Da Man, knowing how quickly he ends matches. This, of course, would be dependent on how many matches Goldberg has left in him.
Building up to a final major bout between Seth and Goldberg could be interesting, though, especially if the Money in the Bank briefcase is saved. Who knows, maybe Goldberg could instead defend against Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker in a singles match, and that is when Seth finally uses the briefcase.
