Alexander Hammerstone first made a name for himself in Major League Wrestling. Given his size and athletic prowess, he was able to turn heads with his performances in the ring. In fact, he was so impressive that when he was about to become a free agent, WWE legend Booker T expressed his interest in seeing Hammerstone debut in NXT.
Hammerstone even teased signing with AEW before joining TNA instead. He made a few appearances for the promotion. Now, due to WWE's partnership with TNA, Hammerstone was finally able to make his debut for the company. He was the surprise opponent for Oba Femi tonight on NXT.

Given his massive frame, Hammerstone was able to bring the fight to Femi. However, Femi proved why he has been a dominant champion in recent months. He was able to put away Hammerstone with a powerbomb, thereby continuing his dominance.
It looks like even Hammerstone wasn't enough to properly challenge the NXT North American Champion. It will be interesting to see who will be able to put an end to Oba Femi's reign of terror on NXT.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar.
