John Cena's appearance on the latest edition of WWE RAW turned out to be a major one. However, a new update reveals upsetting news concerning The Last Real Champion's limited dates left on his Retirement Tour.
On the June 9, 2025, edition of the Monday night show, The Cenation Leader claimed that he had defeated all fan favorite superstars, referring to his victories over Cody Rhodes, R-Truth, and Randy Orton in singles matches. He then demanded a strong competitor to step up, which prompted CM Punk to make his way to the ring.
The Straight Edge Superstar verbally destroyed his rival and asserted he wants to take the Undisputed WWE Championship away from John Cena. Moments later, the 48-year-old legend announced that he would defend his title against CM Punk at Night of Champions in Riyadh on June 28. Both veterans were then put on notice by Seth Rollins and his faction members, as The Visionary holds the Men's Money in the Bank briefcase.
That being said, it was previously reported that John Cena had 21 dates left in his ongoing Farewell Tour before Money in the Bank. After his appearances at the MITB PLE and on last night's WWE RAW, The Franchise Player now has just 19 dates left before he officially retires from in-ring competition.
This news is certainly disappointing for fans, as it means their chances of seeing The Last Real Champion inside the squared circle are rapidly diminishing.
WWE veteran explains why R-Truth is not going after John Cena
Following the shocking news earlier this month that WWE had decided to let go of R-Truth once his deal expired, the 53-year-old returned at the 2025 Money in the Bank, much to the delight of fans. The former United States Champion's interference cost Logan Paul and John Cena their tag team match against Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes.
On this week's RAW, Truth delivered a heartfelt promo and announced that he would now work under his real-life name, Ron Killings. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo explained why a feud between The Cenation Leader and Killings was not being booked.
"I don't think it meant anything at all [about Truth attacking Cena] because that was just for a pop. They're not going nowhere [sic] with it," he said.
Fans will have to wait and see if John Cena retains his Undisputed WWE Title against CM Punk later this month.
