An ex-WWE figure recently admitted that he thought R-Truth was going to kill him after a "shoot" moment went wrong. Truth, who goes by his real name Ron Killings now, was legitimately angry with the veteran and went after him.

On the latest episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, ex-WWE creative head Vince Russo discussed his time shared together with Killings during their stints in TNA. They crossed paths in the early 2000s, with Russo, along with Jeff Jarrett, both agreeing that Ron Killings was World Championship material. Under their creative leadership, Killings became the first and only African American NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

There was a segment in TNA where Vince Russo legitimately threw Ron Killings down in a moment that wasn't expected at all. Russo revealed to EC3 and the host Dr. Chris Featherstone that during it all, he had a moment of freak strength and slammed R-Truth as hard as he possibly could have.

He revealed that the consequences weren't great for him:

"Keep in mind, [R-] Truth doesn't know I'm going to do anything. I wrapped Truth up and I threw him on the ground as hard as I possibly could. The segment's over, and I go right back out into the parking lot the way I came. I'm hanging out by the car waiting for Jeff [Jarrett] to come over. The Harris Boys come over and go, 'Vince, you better get in your car and get the hell out of here because Ron Killings is looking for you and if he finds you, he is going to kill you on the spot.' I got in my car so freaking fast. Because, as a shoot, I took him down without him knowing it, bro. I did not want to see a freaking pissed off Ron Killings, bro." (14:16-15:16)

A huge former TNA name spoke to R-Truth about a possible appearance after his WWE exit.

It seems to be quite obvious that when R-Truth announced the shocking end of his WWE tenure after 17 years, there would be a lot of other promotions interested in signing him.

Rather than it just being TNA, AEW, or any major promotion, it was the independent scene that presented a huge opportunity for him.

In his latest column on Yahoo! Sports, former TNA President Scott D'Amore revealed he contacted R-Truth regarding a possible appearance for his promotion, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling:

"Obviously, I wanted to check if there was a chance that he could be legally cleared to appear at Maple Leaf Pro's next big pay-per-view on July 5, but mainly we had a great talk about the outpouring of love from not just fans, but also Ronnie’s peers when news broke that he was done with WWE." Scott D'Amore previously revealed that during his stint as the TNA President, he also tried contacting CM Punk following the entire fallout with AEW. He wondered whether CM Punk just wouldn't be interested in working in smaller arenas, but stated that Punk never "big-timed" him, and he listened and showed interest.

As we know, Punk eventually returned to WWE, too, and D'Amore admitted that it was where The Second City Saint belonged.
