WWE News: Latest WrestleMania 33 betting odds

The favourites continue to lead the way in the sports betting markets

What’s the story?

WrestleMania 33 is almost upon us, and 5Dimes have released the latest betting odds regarding the 13 matches that will take place this Sunday.

The lines themselves reflect the American market, and the majority of the money currently finds itself being placed on the men and women who have long been considered favourites for their matches, with a couple of notable exceptions.

In case you didn’t know...

WrestleMania 33 takes place this coming Sunday in Orlando, Florida, with 13 matches being confirmed for the show. Goldberg will defend the WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in the main event, with all seven other titles being on the line at the Ultimate Thrill Ride.

Elsewhere on the card, Roman Reigns will do battle with The Undertaker, Seth Rollins and Triple H will compete in a non-sanctioned match, AJ Styles will go up against Shane McMahon and John Cena and Nikki Bella will take on The Miz and Maryse.

The heart of the matter

Brock Lesnar is the heaviest favourite as things stand with the betting market. Lesnar currently has odds of -2750 for his match with Goldberg, with the champion sitting on odds of +1250.

The next widest divergence sees Baron Corbin (-1300) a heavy favourite to win the Intercontinental Championship from Dean Ambrose (+650), and the not-yet-engaged duo of John Cena and Nikki Bella (-1200) heavily backed to defeat the happily betrothed Miz and Maryse (+600).

Seth Rollins (-565) has poked ahead of Triple H (+375) in the odds for their non-sanctioned match, and Rollins’ former Shield brethren Roman Reigns (-420) is a favourite over The Undertaker (+300).

AJ Styles (-975) is predictably a heavy favourite to beat Shane McMahon (+525) in the other showcase bout.

The outcome of the WWE Championship match is less clear, with Randy Orton (-210) currently a slight favourite ahead of champion Bray Wyatt (+160).

Enzo Amore & Big Cass (-245) are also slight favourites to win the RAW Tag Team Championships, with Anderson & Gallows (+225) retaining close behind and Sheamus & Cesaro (+1150) being way out.

Elsewhere, Kevin Owens (-750) is favoured to beat Chris Jericho (+450), Naomi (+100) is the favourite to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Neville (+270) is favourite ahead of WWE Cruiserweight Championship challenger Austin Aries (+390).

Bayley (-390) currently leads the betting lines in the RAW Women’s Championship fatal four-way and Braun Strowman (+460) leads the field with regards to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

What’s next?

With a couple of days to go until WrestleMania 33, expect these lines to stay around the same level until a few hours before the show. The insider money is unlikely to be put down until the final minute, and it hasn’t been unusual for betting lines to dramatically swing just moments before the show begins.

Author’s take

None of these current odds can be considered surprising, with the possible exception of Enzo & Cass’ position as favourites in the tag team ladder match.

If you are a betting man or woman now would be a good time to put a small amount of money on Bray Wyatt, Anderson & Gallows, Austin Aries and Carmella, with the latter being considered a dark horse for the SmackDown Women’s Championship match.

Either way, gamble with caution!
