WWE Superstars are already gaining momentum fresh out of The Grandest Stage of Them All this year. There are new champions coming out of WrestleMania 40, and that means new and potential challengers. A fan-favorite has just issued a message as he looks to become champion again.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40. A-Town Down Under now has their first set of #1 contenders - The Street Profits. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford won a Fatal Four-Way on Friday's SmackDown, defeating The Authors of Pain, Legado del Fantasma, and New Catch Republic.

Dawkins took to Instagram today to taunt Waller and Theory. He included a photo of The Pride facing off with A-Town Down Under after Friday's big win.

"They shook. #andnew #streetprofits," Angelo Dawkins wrote with the photo below.

WWE has not announced when The Street Profits vs. A-Town Down Under title bout will take place. Officials could hold off on the match until the Backlash France Premiu Live Event on Saturday, May 4, or they could go ahead and book the two teams on Friday's WWE Draft edition of SmackDown.

Montez Ford discussed The Street Profits' WWE status ahead of WrestleMania 40

The Street Profits have been teaming up since January 2016. They debuted in WWE NXT and moved on to the main roster in the 2019 Draft.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are two of WWE's top tag team stars. They previously held the NXT Tag Team Championship once, and also held the EVOLVE titles while active NXT Superstars. The have also held both the RAW and SmackDown titles, but only because the company did a championship exchange as they were red brand champions when drafted to the blue brand in 2020.

Ford spoke to Byron Saxton ahead of the Six-Pack Ladder Match at WrestleMania 40, and expressed frustration and optimism for the future.

"It's been too long, Byron. It's been three long years, three years for the Street Profits. Really long time. Last time we had tag team championships was over three years ago. And in that time period, we've seen so many people come together, grasp together, and also split, go their separate ways, turn on their own partner. From the likes of Trick and Melo, all the way to the Usos, and they blood. But look who stood together through the test of time, through the peaks and the valleys, the highs and lows, The Street Profits. And if you haven't noticed, we've been taking a lot of L's in life, whether it comes to the ring or in life personally," Montez Ford said. [From 1:24 - 2:08]

Ford ended his promo by predicting a title win at WrestleMania. He and Dawkins ended up failing to capture gold that night as A-Town Down Under left with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship and Awesome Truth left with the RAW Tag Team Championship.
