Vince McMahon's surprising move is setting him up to buy WWE back, thinks veteran (Exclusive)

Former WWE owner Vince McMahon made headlines recently by launching a new company. According to wrestling veteran and former writer Vince Russo, this may be a way for him to start on his way to buy back his company.

The new company, 14TH & I, is reportedly aiming to pursue opportunities in media and entertainment. However, it should be noted that there is no evidence of the company being related to anything wrestling-oriented so far, which many expected would be the case considering Vince McMahon's history.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo pitched the idea that McMahon was taking these steps to buy back the Stamford-based promotion. The former WWE head writer stated:

"I think it sets him up to buy his company back, make a deal... What else is Vince buying, bro? What else is he buying, bro? An ANS? Subway? Maybe Vince is buying a Subway, a Quiznos? Come on..." [3:25 onwards]

Vince McMahon may not be able to buy WWE back based on the current situation

While Vince McMahon might be very interested in acquiring the Stamford-based promotion, Wrestlevotes thinks it is not possible at the moment.

Speaking on Wrestlevotes Q&A on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, the insider talked about the new development and expressed interest in seeing what 14TH & I plans to do next.

"I think he's gonna try, don't think he's gonna be able to re-buy the company. As bad as he wants, it's currently not for sale, don't think it'll be for sale, but I do wanna say I love the name, the old homage to Capitol Wrestling. For whatever this company becomes, I do think it's a creative name, so we'll see what he can get into," he said. [5:50 onwards]

For now, only time will tell what is next for Vince McMahon down the line and whether he will be involved with WWE again.
