WWE SmackDown will be airing in South Carolina tonight.

A couple of WWE officials have found themselves in a precarious situation ahead of tonight's edition of SmackDown at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.

Referee Jason Ayers took to Twitter and announced that he was stuck in an elevator and that there was no cause for widespread panic. He joked that he may also decide to turn the corner of the elevator into a restroom.

"Stuck in an elevator. About to establish a pee corner. Don’t send help. I’m good here," tweeted Jason Ayers.

Ayers tickled Twitterati's funny bones with his next tweet as well, which featured him posing with colleague Dan Engler.

"Wait, no, @DanEnglerWWE is here too. Please do send help," added Jason Ayers.

WWE has an exciting edition of SmackDown planned for tonight

The road to Night of Champions at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia continues tonight on SmackDown.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is scheduled to appear on tonight's edition of SmackDown. The Tribal Chief will not be defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Night of Champions. Instead, he will be teaming up with Solo Sikoa to challenge for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

Roman Reigns scolded The Usos last week for losing to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. The Tribal Chief then vowed to bring the titles back to The Bloodline with Solo Sikoa as The Usos looked embarrassed in the ring.

Pretty Deadly will make their main roster in-ring debut tonight against Butch and Ridge Holland of The Brawling Brutes. The Usos will have a chance to get back on track this week when they battle Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar of the Latino World Order.

AJ Styles and Seth Rollins are set to clash for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Night of Champions. Rollins and Styles earned their ticket to the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, and one of them will be crowned a deserving champion at the premium live event next weekend.

On tonight's edition of SmackDown, AJ Styles will be appearing as the first ever guest on "The Grayson Waller Effect."

This week's edition of the blue brand is set to be really exciting.

It will be interesting to see if Jason Ayers and Dan Engler are rescued in time for tonight's show. If not, we can expect a barrage of top-notch tweets from Ayers to keep us entertained in case the show doesn't live up to the hype!
