Zoey Stark provides major WWE return update; responds to retirement announcement

Zoey Stark shared an update ahead of tonight's edition of WWE RAW. The veteran suffered a major injury during her Money in the Bank qualifying match last month on the red brand.

The 31-year-old shared a new video on Instagram today and reacted to an AI-generated video of her announcing her retirement from WWE. She noted that the video was well done and even convinced some of her family that she was finished as a professional wrestler.

"That's pretty funny actually. This AI video, whoever made it, great job. You did a fantastic job because a lot of people fell for it, including my own family. It's not true, I'm not retiring. Not any time soon. In fact, I'm here at the UFC Performance Institute to do rehab on my knee, and working my a** off three to four times a day of physical therapy," said Stark.

Stark added that she will be sharing her journey to recovery with her fans and sent them a heartfelt message at the end of the video.

"Look, I'm gonna share my journey with you guys. You know, the good, the bad, the ugly, the road to recovery, and what it is. So, stay with me. I love all you Stark marks," she added.

Stark used to be a member of Pure Fusion Collective alongside Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler. However, Deville's contract with the promotion expired earlier this year, and Shayna Baszler was recently released by the company.

Vince Russo reacts to Zoey Stark's injury on WWE RAW

Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on Zoey Stark's gruesome injury last month on RAW.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo noted that Stark's injury was unfortunate. The veteran added that it appears to be a trend in the women's division in WWE.

"I swear to God. The only thing worth talking about on this show was something that wasn't supposed to happen, and that's Zoey Stark getting hurt. That's really the only thing that warrants anything on this show. That's unfortunate for her. I gotta tell you, a lot of these women get hurt. These women are constantly getting hurt. Kairi Sane came back, she was out hurt. Zoey Stark came back, she was hurt. Asuka is hurt." [From 7:10 onwards]
