Bobby Lashley's WWE Championship reign has been great, but there is no clear indication over who might beat him for the title. Brock Lesnar seemed like the popular choice to dethrone Lashley, with a SummerSlam match between the pair being a mouth-watering prospect.

But if the match happens, The All-Mighty WWE Champion should ideally retain his title. Instead, Lashley's reign should be used to build stars. The best choice to beat him might be Big E.

This works on multiple levels, as MVP's client will defend the WWE Title against Kofi Kingston at Money in the Bank. If Bobby Lashley destroys The New Day member, there is a storyline reason for Big E to go after him. But he would need to move to WWE RAW first, either through the Draft or via Money in the Bank.

I’ve heard from a few sources an idea making the rounds - Big E moving from SD to RAW in the post SummerSlam draft while still be pushed as a singles. In essence, New Day back together without necessary being a team. If so, E would become a fresh face for the RAW main event scene

If Big E wins this Sunday's ladder match, he could move to the red brand and cash in on The All-Mighty WWE Champion.

Big E might very well be the next WWE Champion, especially with RAW's dire need for top babyfaces who could pose a challenge to Bobby Lashley.
