Predicting the next 4 Open Challenge opponents for Seth Rollins

Predicting the next four
Seth Rollins recently defeated Kevin Owens to retain the Intercontinental Championship

Seth Rollins is on a roll right now. Unlike the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, the Kingslayer defends his championship every week on Raw. He is a true definition of "workhorse champion."

After winning the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania, he has successfully defended it against the likes of Miz, Finn Balor, Mojo Rawley, and Kevin Owens. Moreover, he has successfully retained the title across four continents.

But, what's next for the Architect? We know that he isn't going to be a part of the Money in the Bank ladder match. So, he will mostly continue his "Open Challenge" gimmick.

So, who all will get the opportunity in the coming four weeks? Here, are the predictions for the next four "Open Challenge" opponents for Seth Rollins.

#4 Elias

Elias
Could Elias sing his way all to Intercontinental Championship?

Elias came short this week on Raw and failed to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. But, after the cameras had finished rolling, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Bobby Lashley squared-off against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Elias. As obvious it is, the babyfaces picked up the win.

In the match, Elias had picked up his guitar and was ready to sing. However, Rollins would interrupt him and take the mic. Nonetheless, he allowed him to sing after their match had been over.

Now, this segment might be a hint what we are going to see next week. If you look back at the gauntlet match, then it was Elias who had eliminated Seth Rollins.

Seth "Freakin" Rollins hasn't got his revenge since then. This Monday, he might get it and it better be a sweet one.

#3 Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler got a new lease
of
life after allying with Drew McIntyre

One of the clear winners for this week's Raw was Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. While the Scot distracted Braun Strowman, the Showoff covered Finn Balor for the victory. This victory has shown that the management is serious about their future.

Right now, it looks like the B-Team will go after the Raw Tag Team Championship. So, what should the duo do to keep themselves busy?

Well, one option is going after Seth Rollins' Intercontinental Championship. The Architect and the Showoff are two of the most gifted in-ring athlete of the Raw roster right now. They could blow all the charts if they face each other.

Then, what is stopping the management from booking so? While he may not be a legitimate threat to win the title, he wouldn't be buried even if he loses so.

#2 Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin has lost his footing since the Superstar Shakeup

One of the superstars to be negatively affected by the Superstar Shakeup is Baron Corbin. Jinder Mahal is feuding with Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler has revitalized himself after allying with Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Roode has qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

What is Baron Corbin doing? Well, he is busy feuding with No Way Jose and Titus Worldwide. Hopefully, the triple threat qualifying match was the last page in their book.

If that is the case, then it is better the Lone Wolf sets his eyes on the mid-card championship. If he contested for the title two years earlier, he would have been a serious threat. Since then, the championship's prestige has ascended enormously. However, the former Money in the Bank winner's status has plummeted.

It looks like Baron Corbin needs this match more than Seth Rollins. So, why not book it after Seth's title defense against Elias and Dolph Ziggler?

#1 Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode
Bobby Roode has set his eyes on the Money in the Bank contract

The last opponent at Raw for Seth Rollins before he defends the title at Money in the Bank is "Glorious" Bobby Roode. The former two time TNA World Heavyweight Champion would love to head into the ladder match with the Intercontinental Championship.

In his match against Finn Balor, Seth Rollins has proved that he can pull off a breathtaking match with a babyface too. Moreover, it gave rise to many rumors which indicated Balor would heel turn.

Can he repeat it with Bobby Roode? The 41-year-old Canadian is a way better heel than a babyface. WWE knows this and will pull the trigger sooner rather than later.

It might look like a far fetch idea on paper how a single match can shoe-horn a heel turn. But, if the man you are working with is Seth Rollins, it just might be the case.
