The upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown will be a must-see as it won't just be the fallout episode of the blue brand after Bash in Berlin 2024, but will also mark the final episode of the brand that will air on FOX before it moves to the USA Network next week. Due to this, a lot could happen as the brand bids farewell to FOX.
WWE SmackDown made FOX its home in October 2019 and tonight will feature its last episode on the network. An eight-man tag team match, Cody Rhodes addressing Solo Sikoa's challenge, Bayley vs. Tiffany Stratton, and Giovanni Vinci's return are advertised for the show. With the exciting lineup for tonight, the show could close down in a major way.
For this list, we will look at three ways in which the final WWE SmackDown episode on FOX could end.
The latest on WWE Hall of Famer after his stroke HERE.
#3. Roman Reigns gets revenge on The Bloodline
At the SummerSlam 2024 Premium Live Event, Roman Reigns finally made his long-awaited return wherein he immediately targeted Solo Sikoa during the latter's match against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Although The Head of the Table was successful in confronting the group, the numbers game caught up to him on the August 16, 2024, episode of SmackDown.
The Bloodline, consisting of Solo, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, is scheduled to compete in an eight-man tag team match against the Street Profits, consisting of Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford, and DIY, consisting of Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa, tonight. Towards the end of the match, The Original Tribal Chief could cost the heel group their match.
#2. Jimmy Uso brings backup on WWE SmackDown
Another former member of The Bloodline that fans are eagerly waiting to return is Jimmy Uso, who was attacked by Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga on the fallout episode of SmackDown after WrestleMania XL. However, he might not arrive alone.
Jimmy could interfere during the eight-man tag team match and attack The Bloodline with the aid of Hikuleo, who is a relative of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. The 33-year-old has been rumored to have signed with the Stamford-based promotion since July of this year.
#1. Randy Orton turns heel
After a failed attempt at dethroning Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Bash in Berlin 2024, Randy Orton is set to return to Friday Night SmackDown. While this might be good timing for Cody Rhodes, it might turn out to be the opposite.
Cody and Solo Sikoa could end the show with a confrontation, and the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief could use the rest of The Bloodline to grant him the rematch he wants from The American Nightmare. However, The Viper could emerge and fend off The Bloodline. Later on, The Legend Killer could attack Rhodes to not only turn heel but also to hint that he wants to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship. That way, Randy could also potentially capture his 15th World Championship in the Stamford-based promotion.
