Now that the event is drawing nearer, the discussion has only intensified. During RAW, Randy Orton was announced as the fifth member of Cody Rhodes' team at WarGames. This left many fans curious whether The Straight Edge Superstar will also return at the event.

According to Fightful Select, they were informed as of Monday night that WWE's stance hadn't changed, which means the company still has no plans for CM Punk to show up at Survivor Series. Talent, whom Fightful spoke to, said they weren't told any details about Shinsuke Nakamura's cryptic promos.

Johnny Gargano says he's all for CM Punk returning to WWE

The Voice of the Voiceless joined AEW almost a decade after leaving WWE, but he parted ways with the promotion several months ago after being fired over an incident at All In in London.

In a recent interview, Johnny Gargano said he wouldn't mind seeing CM Punk back in WWE.

"There are so many eyes currently on WWE television. Obviously, every little bit helps. I mentioned how Logan Paul has taken the United States Championship all over the world with him and getting new eyes on the product. At the end of the day, whatever is going to get more eyes on WWE television, that's the best move possible. Whoever that may be, whoever they bring in, whatever eyes they bring in. I'm all for it," Gargano said.

Only time will tell whether or not CM Punk shows up at WWE Survivor Series. Fans will have to wait for the event to begin to get their answers.
