Rey Mysterio's much-hyped retirement ceremony ended up being just a work to bring Dominick into the picture. Rey Mysterio cut a promo from his house in which he revealed he didn't have a timeline regarding his recovery from an eye injury.

Dominick showed up, and he sent a threat to Seth Rollins at the end of the segment.

Seth Rollins appeared on RAW Talk immediately after the episode of RAW and reacted to Dominick's message. Rollins hinted towards possibly convincing Dominick to turn on his father and join his band of disciples.

"I've seen him make his way between these ropes. I've seen what he is capable of. There is a bright future awaiting Dominik, and I know just the person who could lead him to that future."

WrestlingNews.co reports that there have been rumors going around of a Dominick heel turn ever since Rey Mysterio teased retiring in 2019. The biggest reason why Mysterio returned to WWE was to get his son into the spotlight as his successor.

Dominick's heel turn is just speculation at the moment, but there is an excellent chance that the WWE goes down the path as mentioned earlier as it has reportedly been in the works for a very long time.
