As noted earlier, TNA made a big money offer to former WWE World Champion Alberto Del Rio, to debut on last Wednesday’s Impact Wrestling premiere on Destination America. However, the deal didn’t work out, and now it has been reported by PWInsider.com that TNA has reached out to WWE Hall of Famer Edge, who appeared on WWE TV last week on Raw and SmackDown.
The talks between Edge and TNA were never serious and it is noted that the two sides have not discussed money or anything of that nature. The situation was described as TNA putting out the feelers and ‘the fish didn’t bite’.
It is reported that TNA want Edge to fill the vacant position of the on-air authority figure of Impact Wrestling as Kurt Angle has quit the position and returned to in-ring competition.
