Top 5 superstars who can challenge Triple H's authority

Who will stand up to Triple H?

The Corporation of the Attitude Era is now called the Authority in the PG Era. Triple H has been passed on the baton to play the evil, capitalistic, dictatorial boss, and he seems to be doing pretty good in that part.

But the heels can’t go on humiliating and vanquishing the faces for several straight weeks or months. There will be a time when someone will stand up to them. This is all a build up to that very moment and any superstar who plays such a part of the rebel will have a very significant role to execute.

First of all, I would like to mention that most of the superstars who’ll rebel might get fired. To get them back, there has to be someone equal to Triple H’s power stature or beyond. Vince McMahon seems to be the one.

Yes, he was there when they bullied Daniel Bryan, but he is the boss. Ego clashes between his daughter and son-in-law can provide a good twist.

Here is a list of 5 superstars who will most likely not ‘bow down to the king’.

Big Show

Big Show

I don’t think he’ll turn heel. Instead, he’ll snap sooner or later. Big Show made it clear this week on RAW that he wants to be left alone, and he distracted Orton long enough for Bryan to recover and put away Orton with a knee to his face.

Subsequently, Big Show got suspended for the night on SmackDown for his actions. Big Show might play a role at NoC that can result in Bryan tasting defeat or he’ll snap then and there.

But Big Show will suffer given that this storyline is supposed to go on till WrestleMania. So that would mean that he might be finally fired to return later.

Mark Henry

Mark Henry

Looking at the authority, the main characters are Triple H, his wife Stephanie McMahon, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.

To take all of them down, one rebel won’t be enough. Whenever Mark Henry recovers from his injury, he can go after the authority, only to be vanquished initially.

Before his injury, Big Show and Henry were supposed to face the Shield. So later on, Mark Henry and Big Show can return together and take down the tag team champions.

Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler is reported to have backstage heat for some interview he did during SummerSlam. His losses to Ryback and Wyatt seem to be punishments.

He’s been involved in the authority angle where he’s been facing The Shield in handicap matches and especially Dean Ambrose getting the better of him. They might face each other at NoC.

Facing Ambrose might produce a great match but it’s still for the US Title, a step back for Ziggler. But what if all this is a plant – the backstage reports, losses etc. – to finally give Ziggler his moment?

This might all build up to something special for Ziggler.

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes

The first one to be fired, he will definitely have some score to settle whenever he returns.

He can definitely move on to challenge Randy Orton. It can be for the title or not, but it’ll definitely be against the man whom he lost to and got fired as a result.

It remains to be seen if this storyline can elevate Ziggler and Rhodes to World title or WWE title matches.

John Cena

John Cena

The last superstar who can rebel against the authority can be John Cena. Who better to challenge the current face of the company and his party than the former face of the company.

John Cena will be humble enough not to address himself as the face of the company, but Triple H will certainly be in a dilemma. Here is someone like Cena who’s always been ‘good for business’ and he is set to challenge the authority.

It seems like it can build up to a triumphant Cena return.
