Update on Randy Orton's injury, return to Raw, more

Randy Orton expected to appear in tonight’s Raw

As noted earlier, Randy Orton returned to WWE after filming WWE Studio’s upcoming motion pictureThe Condemned 2, at the live event which took place in Madison Square Garden Friday night. Initially, it was announced that Orton was scheduled for the Long Island live event, but the announcer declared him as unfit for the event although he was seen at the backstage with his gear.

Speculations unfolded as to whether The Viper was injured or not. However, the attending folks were surprised after he made a short cameo at the end during the Handicap Street Fight main event to help John Cena pick up a win against Seth Rollins and Kane. This made sense as Orton departed on a sour note as it was Rollins’ Curb Stomp which put him out of TV.

It is assumed that someone may have prematurely posted his injury news online and it transformed into a big report. But in reality, WWE could have been keeping Orton’s participation to a minimum prior to his time off. However, it’s now reported that Orton is expected to appear on Monday Night Raw.
