John Cena's on-screen relationships have never had much of a success. Cena’s partnership with A J Lee was awkward at best, but it was overshadowed by his segments with Eve Torres.

A confusing segment had Internet favourite Zack Ryder finally achieve championship success and celebrate with his (kayfabe) girlfriend Eve, only to have him assaulted by Kane.

Cena tried to stand by his friend Ryder, but ended up making out with his girlfriend Eve, to end Raw.

Instead of apologising for his actions, Cena was booked to bury the trashy Eve the next night as the latter became a heel after admitting that she took advantage of Cena to get to the top.

Poor Ryder looked like a complete loser and never really regained his momentum after that storyline.
