WrestleMania Backlash could be the scene of a main roster debut from Toni Storm.
Storm's luck has been on a downward trend for some time. The superstar is one of the top women on WWE's roster but has failed to assert her claim to dominance despite her best attempts.
She lost her last two attempts at winning the NXT Women's Championship after Io Shirai retained successfully against her and Mercedes Martinez in February, and then again in March. Since then, she has also lost against Zoey Stark and Zayda Ramier. Her form has not been the best to say the least, and it could be time for her to seek new stomping grounds.
A call-up to the main roster could likely be the perfect recipe to revitalize her career now. Storm and Rhea Ripley came up together and they fought against each other to get to where they are in the wrestling world. Their history together makes a feud between them seemingly inevitable at some point on the main roster.
Ripley recently won the RAW Women's Championship and will be defending against Charlotte Flair and Asuka. Interference from Toni Storm at WrestleMania Backlash could prove to be a crucial factor in proceedings. If the betrayal came out of nowhere, it would also help to establish Storm on the main roster.
She's scheduled for a match on NXT, but that has not stopped other wrestlers from making their main roster debuts in the past. Fans will have to keep an eye on WrestleMania Backlash to see if this happens.
