5 Feuds for Samoa Joe on the Main Roster

The debut of Samoa Joe in WWE has been a major talking point in the wrestling world. We all knew that the moment had to come at one point or the other but when it actually happened, it turned out to be another ‘mark out’ experience of 2015.

Pulling off a memorable debut is however only half the job done for WWE. They still have to make Joe look strong for the longer run and the only way in which they could do is by making Samoa Joe have some credible feuds. There are a lot of possible opponents for Joe in the NXT roster as well as the main roster and here is a look at the best feuds in which Joe could make a big impact.

Brock Lesnar

Mark out level: Brock Lesnar

This is going to be a dream match for most of the wrestling fans out there. Both Lesnar and Joe are known for their dominance inside the ring and a match between these two would go down as a clash of titans. With the tight schedule of Lesnar, this match is unlikely to happen this year but we could expect a match somewhere down the future.

If promoted properly, the match could go on to feature in a major pay-per-view like WrestleMania as it is guaranteed to live up to the hype. This is due to the sheer physicality involved when these two monsters will lock horns in the ring.

John Cena

Indies vs. WWE

Despite all the criticism that comes around his way, John Cena at the moment is the best when it comes to putting over new talent. He did the favor to the likes of Neville, Sami Zayn and now Kevin Owens, and Cena could do the same for Samoa Joe. Joe and Cena would be the ultimate definition of Independent wrestling scene vs. the corporate WWE and there is a lot of money and potential in the match.

As far as the in-ring action goes, it is going to be a contrast in styles. Cena has this flashy style which his fans look up to while Joe is known for no non-sense, down to the point action. Drop in a title into the mix and it is worth a go.

Triple H

The biggest backer of Joe

As far as we know, Triple H is the biggest supporter of Samoa Joe in WWE. We all know how Vince McMahon does not like guys with a ‘chubby’ look and it is clearly because of the strings that Triple H pulled that Joe landed in the WWE. So Hunter clearly has a point to prove in front of Vince. This makes him the best candidate to put over Joe.

Triple H and his Authority surely needs a stopping at some point and Joe could deliver the deadly blows. He has enough dominance in him to rip through the likes of Big Show and Kane to get his hands on Triple H and WWE could make it happen. A feud between these two is worthy of multiple pay-per-views and can get WWE some money.

Seth Rollins

First feud for Rollins after dropping the title

Seth Rollins is the second best heel that WWE has after Kevin Owens. Now that Joe will finish his feud with Owens soon, it would only be natural of him to start a storyline with Seth at some point. Involving the WWE championship into an angle between the two superstars would be a long shot. Joe is not winning the title anytime soon which in turn makes it the best option to book these two once Rollins drops the gold.

Both Rollins and Joe knows how to carry a match and the size difference might end up giving us a match similar to the one that Eddie Guerrero and Brock Lesnar had back in the 2004 No Way Out pay-per-view. But this time, the good and bad guy will just be different.

Daniel Bryan

Dream scenario

Daniel Bryan and Samoa Joe have a lot of history. They are known to blow off roofs in the independent circuit with their performances and WWE fans deserve to see such an outing in the company as well. The major problem for this feud however will be the return date of Bryan. There is no idea on when Bryan will be able to wrestle again. In the worst case scenario, he might not even wrestle at all.

That would be a major blow for all the WWE fans as well as both the superstars since they cannot get a bigger stage than WWE. For the time being, let's hope for the best and expect a technical marvel when these two lock horns in the WWE.
