5 reasons this will be the biggest MITB of all time

Money in the Bank 2016

Money in the Bank is one of the most exciting PPV’s of the year.

The excitment of the possibility of a new star being pushed as a future WWE champion by winning the MITB briefcase and not to mention, the history the PPV has with great matchups, (Punk vs Cena, Ambrose vs Rollins) every WWE fan has a lot to look forward to every year.

This year MITB has a stacked card with great matches and is being promoted as a type of a Wrestlemania-scale event.

So why will this year be better than any other?

#5 Tag Team Renaissance

Who will walk out the champ?

WWE as of late has been going through a tag team renaissance of sorts. At this year’s MITB, 4 teams including the New Day, the Club, The Vaude Villans and Enzo and Cass will all compete for the Tag Team Championship.

All 4 teams have been brilliant on T.V. and they have brought someting to the tag division that has been missing for quite a while now.

This is also the first time in quite a long time that it looks as though the New Day could lose their titles. Nobody has been able to get to the level of popularity they have got to and now with all the great talented tag teams fresh to product the New day might actually be able to drop their belts and give oppertunity to an up and coming tag team.

#4 Being promoted as a Wrestlemania-level card

The card is stacked this year

MITB is being promoted as the biggest one that the WWE has ever put on. They have heavily promoted it as a Wrestlemania-type card.

This can lead to speculation that the WWE is planning something big. It is almost as if the WWE are planning to make the annual event into one that shares the same class of the big four.

If they are to succeed at doing this, they must bring out all the big guns for the event, which could mean that this year we could see a lot of surprises from WWE to make the event the best it can be.

#3 WWE Championship match

Reigns vs Rollins

This year we finally get to see the match we were supposed to get last November. Some people have mixed feelings about Roman being the WWE champion, which is evident by their reactions to him on T.V, but it can’t be denied that these two finally squaring off for the belt is exactly what people want to see.

The two men have a great history behind them and the story of their rivalry is brilliant.

On another major positive, by all rights, this should be an epic match. Whether you love Reigns or not, it can’t be denied he has had some great matches and Rollins’ history of performances speak for themselves.

When these two lock up in the ring, we will all see an epic story being told right before our eyes.

#2 AJ Styles vs John Cena

The Club stand tall

Many of us thought we probably wouldn’t see this match until at least next year’s WrestleMania. But, nope, Cena is healthy and ready to go so WWE isn’t wasting any time giving us a dream match we never thought we’d see.

On the other hand, we have Styles, who was the face of TNA Wrestling for years and then went to New Japan Pro Wrestling and made an even bigger name for himself.

WWE cleverly booked this match with Aj Styles turning on Cena a few weeks ago setting up this match. The roles could not have been better: Styles works great as a heel and he’ll be cheered by the hardcore wrestling fans regardless, and Cena is just coming back from injury

It’s a dream match that all pro-wrestling fans have wanted for years now and at this years MITB, we are finally getting it.

#1 Possibility of a surprise ?

Could we see a return or debut ?

Originally WWE had booked this year’s MITB ladder match as a 7 man ladder match but for some strange reason, they scrapped the 7th place.

This has led to speculation that there could be a surprise entrant into the match this Sunday.

With WWE billing the event as a Wrestlemania style event, could they pull the trigger and shock the WWE fanbase with a major surprise?
