My colleague and good friend Rick Ucchino had a chance to catch up with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre for a chat ahead of WWE Backlash and you can listen to it in the video that I have linked here. The Champion wasted no time in revealing that the difference between his match and Edge vs. Orton is that McIntyre vs. Lashley at Backlash would be a fight.
When you hype up a match as the greatest ever and have people like Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair chime in about a clash at Backlash which is obviously not going to live up to the standards set by these two men in the industry, chances are that you're going to doom it to fail.
The only way out in such a scenario is to execute a finish that sees Edge show up and deliver a spear to Randy Orton, to walk out of Backlash as the dominant performer in their two WWE encounters.

You’re welcome buddy! And thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt with a couple of years! Whew, got my work cut out for me. 😉 https://t.co/yNH5uluGAz
Or maybe Randy Orton can do the same with an RKO, ending the match in no time at all and taking the score to 1-1.
