WWE Clash Of Champions 2016 Start Date, Time, Results Prediction and more

Clash Of Champions, originally a WCW Pay-Per-View

Clash Of Champions is the first Raw exclusive Pay-Per-View since the draft. It has replaced Night Of Champions which was used until last year. Clash Of Champions was originally a WCW PPV. The theme is a similar one, where all championships(of Raw in this case) must be defended. The main event will see the WWE Universal Championship defended for the very first time.

Clash of Champions will be Live on the WWE Network from 8E/5P on 25th September. It will be broadcast live on Ten Sports at 530am IST on 26th September for fans in India.

Let’s take a look at who are expected to win their respective matches:

1: Alicia Fox vs Nia Jax(Kickoff match)

This is Nia Jax’s first real feud on the main roster

Nia Jax has been squashing enhancement talent the past two months. A few weeks ago, she began a feud with Alicia Fox, and during their match, threw around Alicia Fox like a doll. The two are set to face off in the Kickoff match of Clash Of Champions. Expect Nia Jax to keep up her momentum and squash Alicia Fox in a short period of time.

2:Sami Zayn vs Chris Jericho

The battle of the two Canadians

Sami Zayn, despite beating Kevin Owens at Battleground, was directionless after, while Kevin Owens ended up becoming the WWE Universal Champion. Sami Zayn vs Jericho was set up after Jericho bashed Zayn and attacked him on a recent episode of the Highlight Reel. Expect The Underdog From The Underground to come out with the win and gain some of the lost momentum.

3: Cesaro vs Sheamus (Match Seven in Best Of Seven Series)

Who will earn a future championship match?

Cesaro and Sheamus have been feuding for the past month. They’ve had an intense Best Of Seven Series where Sheamus was 3-0 up at one point. However, as babyfaces normally do in these types of series, they make the comeback, which Cesaro did, evening out the scores. Raw General Manager Mick Foley said that the winner of this series will get a future Championship opportunity.

It is being reported that this is for a United States Championship Opportunity, and not a Universal Championship Opportunity. The Swiss Superman is expected to walk out of this series successful.

4: TJ Perkins(c) vs Brian Kendrick (WWE Cruiserweight Championship)

TJ Perkins will be defending the Cruiserweight Championship for the first time

Newly crowned WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins did not appear this past Monday night on Raw. However, Brian Kendrick made his triumphant return when he defeated Cedric Alexander, Gran Metalik and Rich Swann in a Fatal-Four-Way match to become the Number One contender for the Cruiserweight Championship.

TJ Perkins is expected to come out of the bout successful. It is very unlikely he will drop the title so fast. Kendrick is assuming the role of the veteran.

5: The New Day(c) vs The Club (Raw Tag Team Championship)

The New Day have been champions for nearly 400 days

The New Day were expected to drop their titles to The Club at Summerslam. However, it looked like WWE desired to make them touch the one-year mark. Now that they have exceeded it, it is expected that The Club will dethrone the champions.

6: Rusev(c) vs Roman Reigns(United States Championship)

The Bulgarian Brute takes on The Big Dog

Roman Reigns has had such an interesting year. The fact that he constantly ends Raw on top doesn’t make it feel like he’s been pushed down to the midcard even though on paper it looks like he has. However, this is part of the process of rebuilding Reigns. The Big Dog is expected to walk out the new United States Champion.

7: Charlotte(c) vs Sasha Banks vs Bayley (Raw Women’s Championship)

What was supposed to be a one-on-one rematch for The Boss turned out to be a triple threat match

Bayley has already found a prime spot on the main roster barely a month after coming in. However, with her, the journey and chase are what make her character special. The only reason that Sasha Banks dropped the title at Summerslam was because of nagging injuries and fear over how long she would take to recover.

However, she returned far earlier than expected, and it is expected that Sasha Banks will regain the championship from Charlotte.

8: Kevin Owens(c) vs Seth Rollins (WWE Universal Championship)

Kevin Owens’ first singles main event

Kevin Owens was the beneficiary of Finn Balor’s injury. If Balor had not been injured, it was reported that Owens would be the challenger in this spot instead. However, with Balor gone, the process of a Rollins babyface turn has begun. However, Owens is still fresh into his reign, so it is not expected that he will lose it just yet.
