WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 - 5 potential finishes to determine Roman Reigns' challenger

One of these six potential contenders has to wrestle twice
One of these six potential contenders has to wrestle twice

At WWE Elimination Chamber 2021, Roman Reigns will square off against one of six stars from SmackDown after they've, quite literally, been to hell and back. The winner of the Elimination Chamber match earns a shot at the Universal Champion later on the same night.

Which of these six men- Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Jey Uso, King Corbin, and Sami Zayn will go on to face Roman Reigns at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021? Also, does the said Superstar have a chance at becoming the next Universal Champion?

As WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 draws closer, let's look at five potential outcomes in this match. Obviously, the nature of the title suggests that there will be an omission. So let's see if you can guess which SmackDown Superstar will not make it to this list.

Feel free to share your thoughts and views in the comments.

#5 Cesaro stands tall at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 and goes to war with Roman Reigns later on the very same night

Cesaro has been racking up the wins leading up to WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 and it may be his time to shine.

Could Cesaro outlast the other five competitors in the Number 1 contendership clash at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 and go on to face Roman Reigns in the main event?

While it is unlikely that WWE will put the Universal Championship around his waist at this point in time, he could have a competitive showing against Roman Reigns. In this manner, a new star may be born.

We know that Cesaro has the ability, and that because of his current push, he is on the verge of greatness.

Even if he comes up short in the main event match, it'll be a major step up for Cesaro.

#4 Will Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns have a fourth match in their series?

Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns have had many clashes leading up to this big Elimination Chamber 2021 match. And this is the only reason why Kevin Owens, one of the most entertaining Superstars in the roster, is so very low in this list.

There hasn't yet been a bad Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns match since the feud got underway, but there's an expiry date on every good thing. The audience may not necessarily be as involved in a Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns match, if it took place for the fourth time.

And even though Kevin Owens has been a featured performer in the roster, there's a certain ceiling that the man has. The company has made it clear that they don't see him as a performer capable of unseating the Universal Champion going by the outcome for their previous clashes.

That said, you can never rule Kevin Owens out, which is why he is a potential winner in this fantasy booking list.

#3 Could Jey Uso break out of Roman Reigns' shackles at last?

Jey Uso and Roman Reigns have gone to war on several occasions. One day, Uso realized that it was in his best interests to be aligned with his cousin. Since then, they've formed a formidable partnership, which has had its ups and downs. As close as the villainous duo are, Roman Reigns has disciplined his cousin with the occasional chair-shot on the back. One has to imagine that the story between these two men is far from over, at this point in time.

How cool a twist would this be? Imagine Roman Reigns helping Jey Uso win the big Elimination Chamber match earlier in the night, asking him to lay down for The Tribal Chief to close out the show. Only Jey Uso does not abide by his cousin's rules and wants to go to war. Maybe the alliance splits up at the pay-per-view and carries all the way to Fastlane. The potential for storytelling is tremendous with all of these compelling characters.

#2 WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 may be the site for one of Daniel Bryan's last hurrahs

On the SmackDown episode before WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 (go-home show), it was Daniel Bryan who scored the win in the main-event match. It is doubtful indeed that the man who stands tall in the go-home show also stands tall at the pay-per-view. That said, Daniel Bryan may be an exception, and here's why.

Daniel Bryan has been very vocal about wanting to step away from wrestling, to focus on his family. WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 could potentially be his last hurrah. This is what he said on the Bellas Podcast:

"My retirement from full-time wrestling which will be coming up sooner rather than later in the next couple of years"

Perhaps Daniel Bryan wins at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 and then, goes on to the main event, where he has a slobberknocker against Roman Reigns. Even if he comes up short, it will be the milestone performance that his career could end on. His final bow in WWE, so to speak.

#1 At WWE Elimination Chamber 2021, could Sami Zayn turn face?

Ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber 2021, Sami Zayn had a chance to catch up with Rick Ucchino from SK Wrestling, as they went over a whole bunch of topics. Is it time for him to have a breakout performance at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021?

Sami Zayn has proved, time and again, that while he excels as a heel, he can be just as compelling as a babyface. We've seen the other two members in The Artist Collective- Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura have breakout performances, and Zayn could certainly join the pack.

Imagine Sami Zayn outlasting five other men to become the number 1 contender for Roman Reigns and the Universal Championship later in the night. Imagine him turning babyface right before WrestleMania, after being one of the most entertaining stars on the SmackDown brand during the Pandemic era.

Sami Zayn may not become the new Universal Champion at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021. But he could become the guy that the audience roots for, breaking out in the same manner Kofi Kingston did.
