#4. Kevin Owens (c) vs. Sami Zayn vs. AJ Styles in a Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship

The ‘New Face of America’ Kevin Owens defended his United States Championship against ‘The Underdog From the Underground’ Sami Zayn and The Phenomenal AJ Styles in a Triple Threat Match. Owens used his heavy-hitting power moves to gain the upper hand, while Zayn and Styles took to the air to win the contest. However, in the end, Owens came on top by hitting Sami Zayn with the Pop-up Powerbomb for the three count.

Although Styles lost the match tonight, he'll get another opportunity to grab the gold this week on SmackDown LIVE as he takes part in the Independence Day Battle Royale to become the #1 Contender for Kevin Owens' US Title.

#5. SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi, Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair vs. Carmella (w/ James Ellsworth), Tamina Snuka & Natalya in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match

The women of SmackDown LIVE squared-off each other in a six-woman tag team action. The babyfaces were cheered, while the heels were booed. James Ellsworth received some of the loudest boos of the evening. The match wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The faces got the heat in the first half, and then later got the upper hand in the second half. Nothing to write home about. All-in-all a decent house show performance.

#6. Rusev vs. Tye Dillinger

The Bulgarian Brute Rusev took on the Perfect Ten Tye Dillinger in a singles contest. Rusev, who's been in the shadows waiting to make his SmackDown LIVE debut, put on a good performance against Dillinger. Tye, who's been facing Aiden English since months, tried getting the upper hand on Rusev but found out that the Bulgarian was too powerful a foe in comparison to English.

#7. Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal (w/ The Singh Brothers) & Baron Corbin

The Viper alongside The Artist took on The Modern Day Maharaja and his aide Baron Corbin in a tag team match. Very surprised that Corbin didn't end up cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Jinder Mahal.

The Singh Brothers tried to interfere in the match, but Orton took both of them down via the Middle Rope DDT. In the closing moments, Shinsuke knocked out Mahal by hitting the Kinshasa, while Orton took down Corbin with the RKO for the three.
