Sheamus vs Del Rio at WWE Main Event

WWE was at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada for its Main Event show. The United States championship was on the line as Sheamus defended his title against Alberto Del Rio. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho returned with his Highlight Reel segment and welcomed a special guest for the show.

Here are the results.

Sheamus vs Alberto Del Rio – US title

With the US title on the line, The Celtic Warrior and Del Rio locked horns in a Last Man Standing match. Del Rio went for the Cross Armbreaker, but Sheamus managed to overpower him and sent him through a table. After both the superstars had their fair share of beatings, both barely managed to get up to the referee’s 10-count. In the end, Sheamus delivered the Brogue Kick to Del Rio and retained his titles. The kick proved to be too much for The Mexican Export as he failed to stand up before the 10-count.

Winner: Sheamus

Brie Bella vs Total Divas

Brie Bella found herself in an unsurmountable position as she was placed in a 5-on-1 Handicap match against Natalya, Naomi, Cameron, Summer Rae and Rosa Mendes. Even though she started on the defensive and gained some momentum against Rae, Eva Marie’s DDT did the job as Brie got defeated. After the match, Natalya and Naomi offered their sympathy but Cameron came out to attack her. Naomi fought her back and the two engaged in a brawl that continued at ringside and up to the ramp.

Chris Jericho’s Highlight Rell feat. Bret Hart

Chris Jericho kicked off the first ever Highlight Reel on WWE Network by welcoming WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, whom Jericho credited for helping launch his career in sports-entertainment. After Hart reminisced about some of his best opponents, Damien Sandow crashed the set dressed like former Hart and Jericho nemesis, Shawn Michaels, to mock the ring veterans. But the Sandow show didn’t last long, thanks to a hard-hitting punch from Hart followed up by a painful session in the Sharpshooter.
