WWE may have accidentally revealed the winner of the 2025 King of the Ring tournament

Following the success of Backlash, WWE has started the King and Queen of the Ring tournament to end at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For the King of the Ring tournament, 16 WWE stars compete in four Fatal Four-way matches. The winners will face off in the semi-finals, followed by the finals at the PLE in Riyadh. Whoever wins gets a shot at either the World Heavyweight or Undisputed WWE title. But it seems the company accidentally revealed that Cody Rhodes is the most likely winner!

On the most recent WWE RAW episode, Sami Zayn won against Penta, Bron Breakker, and Dominik Mysterio. He has qualified for the semifinals and will face the winner of SmackDown's tournament match. On the list is Cody Rhodes, and speculation has it that he will also be in the semifinals.

As far as big-time matches go, there aren't many bigger than John Cena vs. CM Punk and Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton. Currently, Cena is set to face Punk at the Night of Champions PLE. Following this, he will need an opponent for SummerSlam. This is where he may have his rematch with Rhodes, who could win the finals.

Fans have speculated that Rhodes’ opponent during the finals could be Randy Orton. If this is the case, it all but guarantees that Rhodes vs. Cena will headline SummerSlam since Orton has already had what is likely to be his final match against The Franchise Player.

Orton was The American Nightmare's mentor during The Legacy run from 2008 to 2010. Fans have been waiting to see The Viper face the former Undisputed WWE Champion, and this tournament could be the best way to make that happen.
