Edge and Christian to host 2014’s final episode of Raw

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to our live coverage of Monday Night Raw. Tonight we are at the Verizon Center in Washington DC for the last episode of Raw in 2014. Rated R superstar and WWE Hall of Famer Edge along with former tag team partner Christian are set to host the final show of this year. Also returning to action is the Viper, Randy Orton.

In – ring segment with Edge, Christian, Cena and Brock Lesnar with Heyman

6:40 AM: E & C made their way out and hyped the live crowd. Brock Lesnar then made his way out along with Paul Heyman!

6:45 AM: Heyman threated E & C, and this brought Cena out to a very mixed reaction. Cena then tried to attack Heyman and Lesnar, but they escaped, as Cena celebrated in the ring.

Rusev (With Lana) vs. Dolph Ziggler

6:50 AM: Ziggler came out to face Rusev, as they both started things off aggressively. Rusev was in control for most of the match, but Ziggler turned things around with a dropkick.

7:00 AM: Rusev dropped Ziggler, and kept attacking him. Ziggler tried to counter with a superkick, but Rusev dropped him in the corner, and stomped him in the corner. The referee counted till 5, and called for a DQ finish.

Winner by DQ: Dolph Ziggler

7:10 AM: Rusev locked Ziggler in the Camel Clutch near the bottom rope, but Ryback made his way out to make the save as Rusev hightailed from the ring.

7:15 AM: Ryback cut an emotional promo, looking back at his career, and said it all leads up to Ryback beating Rusev down.

Nikki Bella (With Brie) vs. Natalya (With Kidd)

7:20 AM: Natalya knocked Nikki off the apron, who was caught by Kidd. This distraction allowed Nikki to knock Natalya down with a right, and then connect with the Rack Attack to pick up the victory.

Winner: Nikki Bella

Rating: Dud

Miz and Mizdow vs. The Usos for the WWE Tag Team championships

Before the match, Naomi approached Miz and thanked him for getting her the part. Miz looked confused as Naomi wished him luck for his next match.

7:30 AM: Jimmy started things off with Miz, as Miz got the upper hand in that exchange. The crowd started a “We want Mizdow” chant as Miz worked over Jimmy.

7:35 AM: Jimmy turned things around as The Usos worked over Miz, but Miz managed to counter the Uso plancha by hanging Jimmy over the top rope as WWE went into commercial.

7:40 AM: Jimmy connected with a top rope plancha, but Miz countered with a DDT in the ring. Miz then locked the figure four, but Jimmy reached the bottom rope. Miz sent Mizdow into Jimmy who ate a superkick!

7:45 AM: Miz connected with the SCF on Jey, but Jey kicked out as the crowd started a “This is awesome” chant. Jey then tagged Jimmy in as they both delivered superkicks to Miz. Jimmy then came down with the Superfly splash to pick up the victory!

Winners and the new WWE Tag Team champions: The Usos

Cesaro vs. Bad News Barrett

7:55 AM: Cesaro cut a promo before the match, and then challenged anyone in the back to take him on, as Bad News Barrett made his way out.

8:00 AM: Cesaro was in control, connecting with a German suplex and working over Barrett’s injured shoulder, and locked him in a full Boston crab.

8:03 AM: Barrett connected with the Bull Hammer to pick up the victory.

Winner: Bad News Barrett

8:04 AM: Luke Harper cut a promo backstage about people paying for leaving him behind.

Luke Harper vs. Jack Swagger

8:10 AM: Harper took control of Swagger in the early going, dropping Swagger with a clothesline and then a dropkick.

WWE aired another vignette for the debut of The Ascension, which will happen later on tonight!

8:15 AM: Swagger managed to get the upper hand for a moment, but Harper stopped his momentum by throwing him into the steel steps and knocked him down with a big boot.

8:18 AM: Swagger went for the Patriot Lock, but Harper connected with a superkick for a nearfall. Harper then connected with the spinning clothesline to pick up the victory.

Winner: Luke Harper

Backstage, Cena and E & C were having fun, and Cena told Edge that he had his respect, and embraced him. He then reminded Edge that he was a father now, and asked him to be careful in the ring.

Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins with Big Show on commentary

8:30 AM: Seth and Roman were in action as Show was on commentary. Joey and Jamie were at ringside as Roman over Seth Rollins.

8:35 AM: Roman was in control, and connected with the running dropkick on the apron, but he was distracted as Seth knocked him off the apron as WWE went into commercial.

8:40 AM: More back and forth action as Seth slowed Roman down with a sleeper hold. Roman tried to fight out of it, but Seth sent him face first into the bottom turnbuckle.

8:45 AM: Seth managed to put Roman down with a huge spin kick and a superkick, but Roman drilled him with the Superman punch. Roman was going for the spear when Big Show interfered, causing a DQ finish.

Winner by DQ: Roman Reigns

Rating: ** ½

Post match, Show attacked Roman and threw him over the announcer’s table. He then turned the table over on Roman as WWE played up the seriousness of the situation.

Backstage, Rollins said he was going to toast to Cena on the Cutting Edge Peep show later on tonight.

WWE then aired a promo for the Dean Ambrose – Bray Wyatt feud.

WWE announced an ambulance match for next week between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt, and Wyatt cut a promo in an ambulance to end the segment.

In – ring segment with Daniel Bryan

9:05 AM: Bryan came to the ring and talked about beating Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista in one night to win the WWE World Heavyweight championship at WrestleMania earlier this year, and thanked the fans for giving him that opportunity.

9:07 AM: Bryan talked about the doctors not knowing what was wrong with him, and talked about his year, as he got emotional. Daniel Bryan teased retirement, but said he was ready to fight, and said he will compete at the Royal Rumble!

The Miz and Mizdow vs. The Ascension

9:15 AM: Konnor and Viktor attacked Mizdow even before he made his way to the ring, and then took Mizdow out with a version of the High – Low to pick up the easy victory.

Renee caught up with Rollins backstage, who invited Lesnar as well to the Cutting Edge Peep show.

The Cutting Edge Peep Show with Seth Rollins

9:25 AM: Edge and Christian brought out Rollins for the first ever Cutting Edge Peep Show, as Seth boasted about himself. Seth said he had the best year, as Edge and Christian had fun with him.

9:30 AM: Rollins brought out Show, and then invited Cena to the ring. Cena didn’t make his way out, so Seth attacked Christian, and held Edge hostage.

9:35 AM: Rollins threatened to snap Edge’s neck unless Cena brought back The Authority, and Cena had no choice but to say yes.

9:40 AM: Rollins tried to attack Edge anyway, but Cena stopped Rollins. Show then KO’d Cena, and Rollins connected with the Curb Stomp to end the segment, as Rollins, Show, Joey and Jamie celebrated at the top of the ramp, where Heyman and Lesnar greeted them. Heyman shook Rollins’ hand, as Triple H’s music played! The night ended with Stephanie and Triple H toasting and embracing Rollins, as The Authority celebrated to end the show.
