WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 2nd February, 2015

Mother Nature played spoil sport on WWE’s efforts to cover up their Royal Rumble mess when last week’s Monday Night Raw was cancelled due to the violent blizzard. The company did manage to put together a last minute makeshift show but it was not what the fans wanted. Now that the blizzard is out of its way, The Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado will prove to be the stage for this week’s Monday Night Raw. It will be responsible for answering a lot of questions about Fast Lane and WrestleMania while people will also be coming out to explain what happened at Rumble. The live episode of SmackDown last week did shine some light on the situation but the real deal will come in the flagship show on Monday. So here is a look at what all we could expect from this week’s Raw.

#5 Is the moment finally here?

WWE Universe hasn’t heard from the Undertaker ever since he lost his match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. However, all that might change in a matter of weeks as all the signs are pointing towards a possible showdown between Bray Wyatt and Undertaker.

Bray pulled off a spine chilling promo on SmackDown after his dominant performance in the Royal Rumble which included a cryptic message to someone. The Eater of the Worlds mentioned that he does not fear anything live or dead. And we know that the only dead thing in the WWE is Undertaker.

Raw might witness the return of the Phenom if that is the plan going forward and it would be a great way to calm down the audience from the Reigns debacle as well.

#4 A new Paige for Bellas

Paige had managed to make a name for herself as one of the best female wrestlers in the company. She belonged to the category of names like AJ Lee, Natalya and Charlotte while the lights of Brie and Nikki Bella were down below. Despite all these, when WWE needed a champion other than AJ Lee, they went with Nikki.

It was an insult to the Brit but now that AJ is out of the scene, WWE is once again relying on Paige. She now has a shot at Nikki’s championship at Fast Lane and the battle lines are drawn clearly.

The Bellas took out Paige at SmackDown and the former NXT women’s champion now has a score to settle. Raw will probably play the stage for the same and it would be interesting to see what WWE puts together.

#3 Something more than the lame jokes

A match between Rusev and John Cena looks excellent on paper due to a plethora of reasons. If pulled off right, it could be a career maker for the Bulgarian brute and the build up to Fast Lane would be crucial for the same.

At SmackDown, it was the usually predictable lame jokes from Cena to insult Rusev when WWE could have actually gone for something more creative. A good microphone worker like Lana should not be wasted in the scenario and it should change at Raw.

Lesnar is not going to defend his title at Fast Lane which means that this match will probably headline the show. WWE should book the segments with that factor in mind rather than letting this repeat over and over again.

#2 Demon locked in the casket by a Goat

The feud between Kane and Daniel Bryan came to an end at SmackDown when Bryan managed to lock the big red machine in a casket. There is no room for another match between the two as the angle should be left off for the better.

The big question that everyone has now will be about the future of Bryan. The flying goat gave an emotional interview on last week’s Raw but we are still not clear on what awaits him in the future.

Rumor mills have been buzzing about a possible match with Sheamus at WrestleMania but the other possibility with Dolph Ziggler looks more exciting. With proper time, both men could steal the show with a match and if that is the route that WWE is choosing, the seeds should be sown on Raw.

#1 Triple Hs big announcement

For the ones who missed last week’s SmackDown, Triple H said that he would make a big announcement on this week’s Raw. Hunter has already called out Sting for Fast Lane so the announcement is not going to be about the icon which in turn acts as the most exciting part.

The possibilities regarding the announcement are plenty. First of all, there are rumors of a multi superstar match at Fast Lane which might change the current plan of Roman Reings vs. Brock Lesnar. This idea will surely cool down the fans that are preying on Reigns.

Another name in the mix will be that of Curtis Axel (seriously) as he was never eliminated from the Rumble. Knowing the graph of WWE, it might be a disappointing announcement at the end of the day, but that does not stop us from dreaming up scenarios.

Bayley gives us a HUGE update on a top Superstar's upcoming return RIGHT HERE.
