What's the story?
Becky Lynch was a special guest on "Fair Game" with Kristine Leahy where she spoke about various topics. One of the key topics of discussion that came up in the conversation was the story of how "The Man" came very close to being fired from WWE.
In case you didn't know...
Becky Lynch is arguably one of the most popular women wrestling in the industry today. "The Man" made history by capturing the RAW and SmackDown Live Women's Championships in the main event of WrestleMania 35 by defeating "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
Becky would go on to drop the SmackDown Women's Title to Charlotte Flair at Money in the Bank but remain the RAW Women's Champion to the present day. She is currently in a feud with the sassy "Southern Belle" Lacey Evans.
The heart of the matter...
Becky Lynch talked about she came close to being fired, crediting the late Dusty Rhodes for saving her WWE career.
"I'd probably just cry and say, 'Thank you Dusty', cause I don't know if I'd still have a job if it wasn't for Dusty. I know there were many times where I was on the brink of being fired and Dusty always went to bat for me. I think Cody put it that 'Dusty likes his broken toys'. If someone came in and were the finished product and polished, Dusty didn't have any work to do. But if someone comes in a little dishevelled like I was and a little bit of an outcast and a misfit, he just had time for them and wanted to see them grow. I came in a shell of who I am now. He was just so supportive."

Becky Lynch will be teaming up with her boyfriend and WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins as they're set to take on Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in an Extreme Rules Winner-Take-All match.
If Corbin or Lacey get a pinfall or submission over Rollins or Becky, they will both lose their respective championships. WWE Extreme Rules will be live on the WWE Network, tomorrow night, starting with the kickoff show.
