An unfortunate incident

What's the story?

WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman aka X-Pac recently talked about the Hall of Fame incident involving Bret "The Hitman" Hart, on his podcast, X-Pac 1,2,360.

Waltman stated that with Bret Hart not currently in the state he was in during his prime, the attacker saw an opening during his speech and went ahead with it.

In case you didn't know. . .

At this year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, a fan jumped into the ring and attacked Bret Hart, who was in the midst of his Hall of Fame induction speech, with Jim Neidhart's daughter Natalya by his side.

Thankfully, the fan was restrained almost immediately after he entered the ring, and he was taken away. Hart managed to finish his speech and the attacker was put into custody. Several clips of the attack emerged online almost immediately.

The heart of the matter

While talking about the incident, Waltman threw a barrage of profanities towards the attacker, and stated that the possible reason of the attack might be that Bret Hart was no longer the muscular hunk he used to be in the early 90s, and this gave the attacker an opening.

Waltman also said that security got distracted with something else and the fan got a few shots on Bret.

That's Bret 'The Hitman' Hart and that fu***ng m**on jumped in the ring on him and you know he's had a stroke. It's not Bret 'The Hitman' Hart from 1993. And I was thinking to myself, why Bret? Why him? And then it dawned on me, it must have been the only opening the guy saw. I think security got distracted with something else…. He got shots in on Bret. There were shots on Bret and a security guard got hurt.

What's next?

The attacker might get thrown in jail for a duration of 1 year, according to recent reports.

Do you think the Hall of Fame ceremony should go back to the way it originally was, with no fans allowed inside the hall to witness the ongoings?
