It's been another big week in WWE as we gear up for Survivor Series later this month. The big storyline on SmackDown right now involves Roman Reigns' Samoan faction and we have a new update on that. We also take a look at former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar who was recently spotted sporting an awesome new look.
Also in the roundup, we take a look at Liv Morgan getting ready for a second career in real estate as well as plans for Lana, who was sent through a table again on this week's episode of RAW. Lio Rush also opened up about his release from WWE this week in an interview and revealed whether it surprised him.
#7 Backstage WWE plans for Roman Reigns' new faction
Roman Reigns is THE guy in WWE. The Universal Champion even has his cousin Jey Uso on his side now after last week’s edition of SmackDown. It now looks like WWE could have further plans to take Roman Reigns’ heel turn to the next level.
According to a report from WrestlingNews.co, there are plans to build a Samoan faction around Roman Reigns where Reigns would be joined by his cousins Jey and Jimmy Uso. There are also reportedly plans to give the faction new entrance music. A source spoke to WrestlingNews.co and told them that this angle has been laid out for the next few months. Vince McMahon is also said to be a big supporter of the storyline.
The Usos could also be set to change up their look a little and could wrestle shirtless like Roman Reigns. The plan would likely see The Usos win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships once Jimmy Uso is cleared to wrestle again.
We saw Jey Uso face Daniel Bryan on last week's episode of SmackDown to see who will be a part of the Blue brand's team at Survivor Series. Jey Uso won the match before declaring his allegiance to Roman Reigns and their family before attacking Daniel Bryan once again after SmackDown went off air.
This led to WWE releasing a medical update on Daniel Bryan's medical condition:
Following his match with Jey Uso on Friday Night SmackDown, Daniel Bryan was evaluated in the WWE trainer’s room, complaining of back and lower abdominal pain. WWE Medical recommended Bryan be transported to a local medical facility where multiple imaging tests were performed and revealed a bruised kidney and multiple strains and contusions throughout his thoracic and lumbar spine. Bryan was released from the facility last night and is now convalescing at home.

#6 Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar has a new look
Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar recently posed for a photograph with a fan and was seen sporting an awesome new look.
Brock Lesnar last wrestled for WWE at WrestleMania 36 in April where he lost the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. Lesnar's contract with the company expired earlier this year and his merch was removed from the WWE Shop. There have been rumors that Brock Lesnar could make a return to the UFC but there has been nothing concrete on that. It seems a little unlikely at this stage that we will see Lesnar back in the UFC. A return to WWE seems more likely.
#5 Asuka broke Bayley’s record
2020 has been a fantastic year for Asuka. She won the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match before being crowned RAW Women’s Champion when Becky Lynch relinquished the title after announcing that she was pregnant.
Asuka ended up losing the title to Sasha Banks before winning it back at WWE SummerSlam. Asuka has now surpassed Bayley’s record for combined days as women’s champion and is now No. 2 on the all-time list.
#4 WWE’s plan for Lana
In recent weeks, we have seen Lana reportedly being sent through tables by Nia Jax. Earlier reports had suggested that this was not because of Lana’s husband Miro signing with AEW after his release from WWE.
WrestlingNews.co has a new report on WWE’s possible plans for Lana. According to the update, we could see Lana finally get some modicum of revenge later this month by sending Nia Jax through a table.
This past week on WWE RAW, we saw Lana go through a table, in what has become a pretty common occurrence now. Lana’s husband Miro gave his thoughts on Twitter:
#3 Lio Rush wasn't totally surprised about his WWE release
Lio Rush was recently a guest on Wrestling Inc Daily with Nick Hausman. Rush opened up about his release from WWE and said that although he wasn't totally surprised by it, he was surprised that he was released during a pandemic:
During the pandemic...yes, it surprised me. Am I surprised that they released me? I don't think I am.
I'm not surprised they released me but I am surprised they released me along with a hundred-plus people, during a pandemic. That's pretty sh***y. But like I said, things happen for a reason and I'm sure my reason is going to come up really really soon, if it hasn't already. Things are moving in a positive direction for me. H/T: Sportskeeda

#2 Mustafa Ali revealed why RETRIBUTION attacked Tucker on WWE RAW
Last Monday's episode of WWE RAW saw RETRIBUTION take out both Ricochet and Tucker. Mustafa Ali was on RAW Talk following the show and opened up about why RETRIBUTION decided to target Tucker.
Ali said that Tucker had turned on his friend and tag partner Otis for personal gain and sins could not be forgiven and could not go unpunished:
No one was attacked. We defended ourselves. We are RETRIBUTION. We protect justice and if you sin, it cannot be forgiven till it is punished. And that's exactly what happened to Tucker. Tucker backstabbed his best friend. You have the nerve to question my actions. Are you questioning what Tucker did?
That man backstabbed his best friend...for what? To get ahead. Judge, jury and executioner. That was the warning that I gave out and that warning is now a reality. H/T: Sportskeeda
Tucker is now competing as a singles star on WWE RAW going forward. However, after a quick loss to Ricochet on RAW, it looks like Tucker may have an uphill battle in establishing himself as a singles star.
#1 WWE Superstar Liv Morgan getting ready for a new career
It looks like Liv Morgan is preparing for a career as a real estate agent. The WWE RAW Superstar recently posted a screenshot of her taking a real estate management course from the Bob Hogue School of Real Estate.
While Liv Morgan is obviously still a talented Superstar under contract with WWE, she may be preparing for the future following her in-ring career.
WWE repacked Liv Morgan last year but other than her involvement in the Lashley-Lana storyline, she hasn’t really done much. Morgan is currently back together with former Riott Squad member Ruby Riott, but the duo didn’t really get much of a push since getting back together.
The third member of the Riott Squad, Sarah Logan, was released by WWE earlier this year in April. The original Riott Squad ended in the 2019 Superstar Shake-Up when Liv Morgan was drafted to SmackDown. In hindsight, breaking up the Riott Squad definitely wasn’t the best decision.
