WWE News: WrestleMania 35 sets new records

What's the story?

WWE's WrestleMania 35 was a good show that was praised by a majority of WWE fans. We saw quite a few title changes as Seth Rollins won the Universal title, Kofi Kingston won the WWE Championship, while Becky Lynch won both the RAW and SmackDown Women's titles.

WWE seem to have hit a home run with WrestleMania 35 as they broke quite a few records on the show

In case you didn't know...

The main show kicked off with Seth Rollins taking on Brock Lesnar in a match that didn't last long. We saw new RAW Tag Team Champions as Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins defeat The Revival, while The IIconics became the second Women's Tag Team champions as they prevailed in the fatal four-way match.

The finale saw Becky Lynch defeat Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey and take home both RAW and SmackDown women's titles.

The heart of the matter

At WrestleMania 35, 82,265 people came to the MetLife Stadium to watch the 7+ hour long show, which is the third highest attendance of all-time after WrestleMania 32 and WrestleMania 3.

WWE also generated $16.9 million from ticket sales for WrestleMania 35 which is the highest for any event held at the MetLife Stadium. The previous highest for the venue is also held by WWE, when the hosted WrestleMania 29 in 2013 which generated $12.3 million.

WrestleMania 35 is also second-highest in the most revenue generated at a show for WWE, with the highest being $17.3 million generated at WrestleMania 32.
