Ambrose and McMahon during the main event

The go- home show for the first WWE draft in years kicked off with the McMahon siblings announcing their respective general managers. Well, rest assured since both of them are massive babyfaces.

The entire night was a build up towards the divide, the separation – the brand split. This show was also hyped for the main event between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Well, behold this show as this is the last time you’re seeing many of the Superstars together in the same ring for the time being. Tomorrow is a new day with the Smackdown going live and the draft changing lives.

Here are the 5 points to note from this episode of Monday Night Raw;

The General Managers

The General Managers are revealed

Shane and Stephanie McMahon began bickering to start off the show. The younger McMahon mentioned she won’t miss her brother at all after he goes off to Smackdown. They talked some more but only got to the point later on. The point being, to introduce their respective General Managers.

Stephanie chose Mick Foley and Shane chose DANIEL BRYAN. That didn’t come off a surprise since rumors were amok but how great does it feel to have him back?!

Later on, Shane revealed that he thought Foley was just a pawn in Stephanie’s game and she’s got him to manipulate the crowd since they love him. Foley thought otherwise.

Bryan, on the other hand, welcomed the battle wholeheartedly even if it meant going up against Foley

The Established Rules

They may celebrate now but the rules favor Raw

The opening segment wasn’t all pointless. It laid out the rules for the draft tomorrow and dropped some surprises along the way. For instance, Raw will have exclusive ownership of the Cruiserweight Division and since raw is 3 hours long i.e. one hour longer than Smackdown, it seems that’s why for every 2 Smackdown draft picks, Raw gets 3.

That’s how things are, folks! The 3 hour Raw isn’t going away anytime soon.

The Tag Teams counts as one pick unless a commissioner/ General manager wants just one of them. (AJ Styles maybe?)

Also, 6 draft picks will be made from the NXT roster.

12 Man Tag Team Match

There is a possiblity that Styles may be separated from his team

Well, tag team turmoil for everyone.

The Wyatt Family, The Club, New Day, John Cena and Enzo and Cass all of them were embroiled in this match which could have been a huge mess anyway but ot wasn’t as much.

It was fast paced match with many cool spots and maybe, just maybe, we’re seeing atleast one team together for the last time or atleast, for some time.

The Draft will change things. For sure.

Maybe, as already mentioned before, AJ Styles will be the one separated from the Club. Who else can join The Club then? A certain demonic superstar maybe?

Banks and Lynch (or Bayley)

Banks needs a partner for Battleground

Speaking of tag teams, Sasha Banks has to choose a tag team partner for her match against Charlotte and Dana Brooke at Battleground.

While many wanted her to choose Bayley and it could have been possible since the draft may get Bayley to the roster, The Boss did not give anything away.

It can still be a possibility but since Lynch already has unfinished business with Brooke, it seems she just may get the nod. But Natalya is around the corner as well. So, probably Bayley still has a window of hope. We all hope too. Hug Life!

The Main Event

Ambrose adds insult to injury by dropping Rollins.
And Still.

Rumors more or less do come true and Ambrose has long been called the transitional champion.

So, everyone did expect Rollins to win his third WWE World Heavyweight Championship in Ambrose’s first title defense. It seemed like that until the very end and we had to go through this episode of Monday Night Raw to get to the bottom of who actually won.

Ambrose retained the title in a controversial manner much like CM Punk had once done it against Cena. Both the performers had their shoulder on the mat. In the end Ambrose is walking into the draft as the biggest prize holder in the WWE.
