Shantha
WrestleMania XXVIII

WWE Monday Night Raw on 28/1/2013 at Las Vegas, Nevada will be a RAW Roulette special. Besides, the aftermath of Royal Rumble will play out during the course of the show. Here’s a brief preview of what you can look forward to on this show.

Roulette rules the roost!

As it has been the tradition over the years, the spin of the wheel will determine the type of matches that superstars will take part in throughout the show. Almost every type of match including Street Fight, Dance Off and Steel Cage match can possibly take place on Raw Roulette.

The Rock‘s reign begins; 434 days of Punk comes to an end!

‘The Brahma Bull’ The Rock has become the WWE champion after 10 years, and there will surely be a celebration of sorts to commemorate this. On the other hand, CM Punk‘s luck ran out 24 hours ahead of the roulette night. The Shield’s assist worked against him and his record breaking 434-day long championship reign came to an end. He has a rematch clause, but it will not work in his favour if he waits till Elimination Chamber to enforce it, since the Elimination Chamber involves 4 other challengers too. So, what will be CM Punk’s intentions after losing the coveted strap off his waist? We will find out.

Paul Heyman in trouble?

Vince McMahon, the chairman of WWE, has announced that Paul Heyman would undergo a performance evaluation on RAW. The Shield’s interference in Punk’s match at Royal Rumble is said to be the reason behind this. What will the boss have to say? Is he set to utter the infamous ‘You’re fired’ line, or does he have any other motivation behind this?

John ‘Super’ Cena resurrected

After a lull period in 2012 since losing to the Rock at Wrestlemania 28, ‘super’ Cena is back as the 2013 Royal Rumble winner. Not all fans are okay with Cena’s triumph. John Cena, in his own right, is a star and does not need a vehicle like a Royal Rumble triumph to boost his stature. Instead, a Royal Rumble victory would’ve worked wonders for the careers of Ryback or Dolph Ziggler, who are yet to get to the top of the ladder. With this triumph, Cena gets the chance to pick his opponent for Wrestlemania 29. One shouldn’t be surprised if we get a ‘Once in a lifetime: Part II’ where John Cena gets to avenge his loss against The Rock at WrestleMania 28. Only difference is that this time the WWE Championship will be on the line.

The Shield mystery

Who is the Shield working for? With a clear stipulation against their interruption in the WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble, The Shield interrupted and attacked The Rock. It worked against CM Punk, which puts into doubt the theory that CM Punk controls The Shield. Who else is behind The Shield? If not so, then what are the intentions of the Shield? Why did the Shield not take part in the Royal Rumble match? These intriguing questions may be answered on RAW. There is a possibility that Brock Lesnar may be the leader of The Shield! Brock may return on RAW. You never know!

Chris Jericho is back

Chris Jericho has made a surprise comeback to the WWE at Royal Rumble. Though he did not win it, there were quite a few indications that he will be feuding with Dolph Ziggler in the near future. The fact that Ziggler eliminated him cements the fact that a WrestleMania match between these two is on the cards. What does Jericho have in mind? We will find out on RAW.

Elimination Chamber participants

The Elimination Chamber PPV is just 3 weeks away, which indicates that we may get to know a few of the participants on RAW.

Besides, a host of Royal Rumble implications like Cody Rhodes’ feud with his brother Goldust, the impactful debut of Bo Dallas, Antonio Cesaro’s feud with The Miz and Big Show’s reaction to his loss against Alberto Del Rio may be the talking points of the show.

An unexpected name just challenged Randy Orton RIGHT HERE.
