WWE RAW: 4 Interesting things that Liv Morgan has subtly hinted at during her transformation

Could Bray Wyatt's doll be a reference to Liv Morgan?
Could Bray Wyatt's doll be a reference to Liv Morgan?

Liv Morgan was once an integral part of the Riott Squad but then, she was separated from Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. She was always going to be the breakout star owing to her look and fans worldwide believed that she would be repackaged and pushed in a massive way on RAW.

But as the weeks passed, we began to realize that something massive was in the works for Liv Morgan to the point where she almost became the stuff of legend. The internet began speculating and she began to be hailed as the new Sister Abigail.

And then vignettes started airing over the last three weeks. And yet, in the vignettes that have aired over the last 2 weeks, in her Twitter account and even in regular WWE programming with The Fiend and The Miz, several hints have been strewn about Liv Morgan's character.

Here are 4 interesting things to note from the transformation, but let me begin things with a special mention.

Special mention: A puppet of Liv Morgan?

Let me begin by saying that this is merely a speculative article and I don't claim to know any more than you, dear reader. I'm just going to be noting down my observations and speculating in this article, based on what I've seen. And what I've seen is the similarity between Bray Wyatt's latest puppet and Liv Morgan.

While the vignettes point towards a more glitzy and glamorous persona, Liv Morgan could be planning a big swerve and aligning herself with Bray Wyatt, in the days to come. I know that it would make a lot of people on the internet very happy, who've wanted this alliance all along. But then again, this is only a special mention, because it could be a red herring, judging from the fact that Bray Wyatt is on SmackDown and Liv Morgan is on RAW.

#4 Destroying herself could be a metaphor for a rebirth

Why is Liv Morgan in a bath you ask? I mean aside from the obvious answer that WWE's fan base comprises mainly of a strong male demographic that wouldn't necessarily be opposed to watching this segment.

A bath is also symbolic of washing away the past and emerging reborn, removing the stains that have attached themselves to you. Liv Morgan's segment in the bathtub is indicative of the fact that this is a restart for her and we can forget about the woman she was back during her NXT days and also during her Riott Squad stint.

It becomes even clearer if you consider the following words. She says these words during the course of the video that I have linked:

And now I have no choice. I have to destroy myself, so that the real me can emerge.

'The real me' is a very interesting point to note because she indicated that she would be tapping into who she really was after losing a match on SmackDown where Kevin Owens had highlighted her as a Superstar that Shane McMahon wasn't giving TV time to. And so she's destroying herself so that her new persona can emerge.

#3 She is anything but typical

I'm sure that a lot of you tuned into RAW this week, either live or later, through a streaming platform. And if you did, I'm sure that you heard Liv Morgan say the following lines

It's up to me to decide who I am. And I'm anything but typical.

Of course, this could be a catchphrase that translates fantastically into a t-shirt or merchandise item that sells on the WWE Shop, and it would be in line with 'Never Give Up' from John Cena or 'Believe That' by Roman Reigns. But what if there's a lot more to it than merely this, and it is a hint of things to follow?

I first became aware of the fact that it could mean a lot more than is evident at the first glance thanks to this fantastic article by Gary Cassidy, and you should give it a try if you haven't. In a sense, these vignettes indicate a very typical persona, almost harking back to the era of Divas and what if this is Liv Morgan trying to say that this is not going to be who she eventually is?

Is she going to swerve us all, as my colleague indicated?

#2 Shots fired at the Riott Squad

Let me preface this by saying that Liv Morgan is best friends with the Riott Squad, as we all know from her social media posts. But in the vignettes that have aired, she has seemingly taken shots at her former faction:

One day, I woke up and I reflected on the girl who I'd been. Where she was. Where she wasn't. That girl who had let her friends tell her what to do, and who to be and how to act. How to dress. All I ever wanted was to be comfortable in my own skin.

The only reason why such an approach may have been taken is to set up a feud for her return, where she tangles with either Ruby Riott, who's due for a big return, and/or Sarah Logan, who's never been able to find her footing since the dissolution of the Riott Squad. We all know that she was given a very different persona on SmackDown and eventually RAW as compared to her NXT days, and this could be the reason for the aforementioned lines.

It remains to be seen if Liv Morgan manages to be more successful in her current avatar, as compared to her Riott Squad days.

#1 Hints at a much darker persona than the one we currently see

I began this list with a mention of Bray Wyatt and I'm going to end with a mention of him as well. If you scroll through Liv Morgan's twitter, you will see signs of a much darker persona than the one we've been shown on RAW recently.

There was a video where she was chopping her hair off and several others that pretty much spoke of a darker, Sister Abigail-like persona. And then, when you listen to the following words, you begin thinking:

When you seek affirmation from a person other than yourself, you give that person all the power.

Of course, the video makes it seem like she is talking about Ruby Riott or even Sarah Logan, I guess, but what if she's actually talking about Bray Wyatt in this particular instance, as is being speculated? What if she means that she is now a servant of the dark lord and that her transformation is a ruse, and we're going to realize it soon?

Bear in mind, that we only saw the Firefly Fun House side of Bray Wyatt's personality for weeks before The Fiend eventually emerged.
