Roman Reigns has been a very mild-mannered man since he's come back to action. He's only competed in one match since then, which was the last ever contest with The Shield united as a group.
In the storyline, Drew McIntyre wanted to incite Roman Reigns and have him step up to the plate. He wanted Roman Reigns to be hot and hungry for the match, and mentioning his family was a surefire way to have The Big Dog accept the challenge.
If you notice, it was Roman Reigns who fired the first salvo against Drew McIntyre and this is very uncharacteristic for a babyface, especially one who is as white meat as Reigns is. Basically, Drew McIntyre was assuring himself a big singles match at WrestleMania by invoking the wrath of the Big Dog.
Considering how many WrestleManias Roman Reigns has main-evented already, this is a huge step up for McIntyre.
