WWE RAW 9th May 2016: 5 Points to Note

A Great show from the siblings

If you did not watch this week’s Raw, go and watch it. If you’ve been a fan, you won’t regret it. This was the night when Big Cass proved to the audience and maybe the management that he’s a huge star in waiting. He charmed the entire arena and maybe even the people watching at home.

There was a return and a debut and a reformation of a really cool stable. And the McMahons did not overdo their shtick while Ambrose and Jericho continued their feud into the main event. The Women’s division had a great day in office and we are very well underway to the next PPV in style. Here are the 5 points to note from this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw-

#1 How You Doin’?

Jericho doesn't want any piece of the 7-footer, but he gets a big boot as he tries to leave.
Big Moment

If you thought only Joey Tribbiani can nail that line, think again! Bigg Cass, one of the most empathetic babyface on the roster from one of the most entertaining tag teams in wrestling history, interrupted hilarious heel Y2J when the latter kicked off the show with The Highlight Reel. Cass is so good on the mic and the audience was firmly in the palm of his hands and greeted him with a tremendous response.

He earned himself a main event spot and in one backstage interview completely enchanted Renee Young with the aforementioned line in the title. Even though he did not get his match and it assisted Ambrose in beating up Jericho, Cass had a great night. If rumors are true that Vince McMahon is high on the 7 foot tall star who happens to be great on the mic as well, it’s certainly great to have someone the crowd can run behind

#2 A Jacket for a Plant

Bits and Pieces

This Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho feud is not important but it is most certainly fun. This is particularly because of the idiosyncrasies of both the characters involved. In a matter of a few weeks Ambrose was able to build a connection with his plant Mitch and the crowd and when Jericho finally destroyed the inanimate object, some hearts did break.

And that’s why it was fun for Ambrose to rip apart Jericho’s $15,000 jacket and act out the proverb ‘A jacket for a plant’. This feud is not really one of the most intriguing but it is entertaining and it is fun.

#3 Three Way Too Sweet

Styles wishes the absolute worse for Reigns

The Bullet Club is back, baby. AJ Styles, though, is not necessarily a heel. He is just doing what he’s doing to not let Reigns get one up on him. He’s done being nice to Reigns, that’s it. This week they had a phenomenal tag team elimination match with The Usos and Reigns as their opponents and the storytelling has been as impeccable as it could be.

AJ wants none of Reigns ‘The Guy’ monologues. Styles is there to be phenomenal and win the championship. These two loathe each other and the feud just turned a lot more action packed and bitter this week.

#4 Paige is back and Dana is here!

Look who’s back!

And how! Shane McMahon announced that Ric Flair is banned from ringside tonight and Charlotte was set to face Paige in a non-title match while Natalya was on commentary. And Charlotte was all exposed without her daddy’s protection and Paige took the win and maybe a future title shot home in a great match.

On the other side of things in the women’s division, Lynch and Emma continued their very good, underrated feud and shared a moment backstage where Dana Brooke debuted to be by her best friend Emma’s side. This was great. Renee Young, Eden and just about any interviewer should be ready for the plethora of head pats coming.

#5 The Silence of The Lambs

Dark times ahead?

Sami Zayn is finally in the IC title match the Intercontinental title looks set to be defended in a fatal four way.On the other hand, Shane McMahon is still having some classic segments with the best heel in the roster Kevin Owens and working in supposed harmony with sister Stephanie McMahon.

This week they were more on the same page than last week and it was all sealed by this final moment where Stephanie looked at the picture of her father and Shane smiling throughout. Maybe indicating things are not as calm as they should be. Bad things may just happen. The silence spoke a lot.
