The latest RAW featured a lot to digest. AJ Styles earned a measure of revenge by defeating Chad Gable in a singles contest. Both Bayley and R-Truth, now going by Ron Killings, returned after different periods away from WWE.
Bayley returned the blindside attack to Becky Lynch after The Man continued to rub salt in Lyra Valkyria's face after winning the Women's Intercontinental Title at Money in the Bank.
R-Truth cut off his infamous dreadlocks after briefly hijacking RAW. Asuka's return was also announced as she'll compete in next week's fatal four-way qualifier.
Two stars advanced to the next round of King and Queen of the Ring. What worked and what didn't? Here's the best and worst of RAW after Money in the Bank.
#2. Best/Worst - Sami Zayn advances thanks to required interference
Sami Zayn overcame Penta, Dominik Mysterio, and Bron Breakker to move on to the semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament. Everyone teamed up against Breakker at one point as he tossed each opponent around the ring.
After landing a massive spear to Penta on the outside, LA Knight emerged from the crowd to hit Breakker with a BFT. Seth Rollins and his minions attacked Knight, Penta, and Andrade on last week's SmackDown and at Money in the Bank.
It's great to see Zayn move a step closer to a major title shot, but it heavily telegraphs retribution from Breakker during Knight's match.
It would also be nice for one of these qualifiers to occur without outside interference, as the first official qualifier was also influenced by an external distraction.
#2. Best - Bucking expectations in Women's Queen of the Ring qualifier
When the first fatal four-way for RAW's side of the Queen of the Ring bracket was shown, there were certainly a few frontrunners. Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley are former singles champs.
Morgan is also a current Women's Tag Team Champion, yet hasn't defended them once in this run. Perez would benefit from a win the most due to losing most of her matches, except for qualifying for the Elimination Chamber.
Morgan didn't want to work with The Prodigy initially, but liked the results when they teamed up. Raquel Rodriguez emerged to take Ripley out of the match, and Kairi Sane almost had the victory in hand.
Perez waited for her moment and rolled Sane up to advance. That will cause friction in the Judgment Day, but it's nice to see a different name advance instead of the obvious picks.
#1. Worst - Liv Morgan gets nearly four segments on RAW
Not only did Liv Morgan get a pre-match spot with Perez on RAW, but she also had a backstage segment after losing her Queen of the Ring qualifier.
If that wasn't enough, she interrupted Nikki Bella's return promo after Bella mentioned several names but not Morgan's. Liv is now one of WWE's top women, but there's such a thing as overexposure.
Bella announced her ties to the upcoming Evolution 2 PLE, but it feels like other stars could have received at least five or six minutes of the time given to Morgan on RAW.
Miss Money in the Bank should have been featured in some capacity since WWE always books them after they win the cases.
#1. Best/Worst - Cena/Punk promo leads to a match at ... Night of Champions
John Cena kicked off RAW to lambaste the fans and R-Truth for what happened at Money in the Bank. He was about to lay into them even more until CM Punk marched straight to the ring without hitting his signature pose.
Punk brought up the parallels of how the company-endorsed guy is now trying to ruin wrestling and the people who made him. The outsider who was almost fired was the one trying to save it for the fans, and not just for the establishment.
The two longtime rivals agreed to face off one last time, but Cena didn't want to do it in Phoenix. He said Punk would have to go to Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions for his shot.
That's the type of match that should be closing SummerSlam, not a show in Saudi Arabia. It means more to the history of wrestling as well, so having it at a secondary PLE is disappointing.
#1. Best - Gunther gets revenge for poor booking at WrestleMania
Seeing Jey Uso win the big one was nice for some fans due to his overwhelming popularity and tenure with WWE. His promo skills are average at best, and his moves are the same as Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso's.
His title run was already shaping up to be pedestrian after a messy finish against both Seth Rollins and Logan Paul. The main issue is not that he won the title, but how he won it against The Ring General.
Gunther tapped out in close to three seconds once he was trapped in the Sleeper Hold. It killed his credibility. Having Jey last 10 times longer in the same move on RAW also didn't help.
He eventually passed out, and Gunther regained the title. Triple H made Gunther seem like an unstoppable monster, but his WrestleMania match with Jey made him look average. It also means fans watching at home don't have to sit through 10 minutes of Yeeting.
WWE made several mistakes with Money in the Bank?
