Drew McIntyre scored arguably the biggest victory of his career
Drew McIntyre scored arguably the biggest victory of his career

WWE RAW is just around the corner, even though it's just been a minute since Royal Rumble 2021. The fact of the matter is that the WWE engine doesn't stop, and the men and women of the company work round-the-clock and round-the-year for our entertainment.

To keep the momentum going after all of the action that transpired at Royal Rumble 2021, WWE RAW will need a few headlines to emerge from it, and this could happen in the form of surprises galore.

One or more of these surprises could certainly happen on this week's show. Which of these WWE RAW surprises do you think will enhance the product, and how many others will take away from it?

In fact, not one but two heel turns could take place on WWE RAW this week.

#5 Sheamus turns on Drew McIntyre on WWE RAW, challenging him for the WWE Championship

After Edge and Christian reunited at the Royal Rumble, it is all too possible that WWE will advertise a match of this nature on the episode of WWE RAW after the Royal Rumble - Edge and Christian take on Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. Knowing how WWE books, Edge and Drew McIntyre will tease a showdown before Edge goes for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. It just makes sense because he's a babyface, and so is Drew McIntyre (Roman Reigns is not).

But before Edge and Christian can reunite on WWE RAW, Sheamus could turn heel and take his own partner out in the ultimate twist.

WWE has been teasing a feud with Sheamus and Drew McIntyre for the longest time. Obviously, these two friends want to work with one another and elevate each other because there's history to be explored between the two men involved.

#4 Ric Flair poisons Asuka's mind on WWE RAW, and Charlotte has no choice but to confront her father and her former partner

On WWE RAW, the charming Ric Flair could step up to Asuka and offer her his managerial services to get under the skin of his daughter, Charlotte Flair. Of course, one Champion recognizes another, so the storyline writes itself, doesn't it?

This could cause Asuka to turn heel on WWE RAW, setting up a feud with her arch-rival Charlotte Flair for WrestleMania.

Just remember that it was Charlotte Flair who broke Asuka's streak, meaning that a rematch between the two at WrestleMania for the WWE RAW Women's Championship is not outside the realm of possibility.

For Asuka to go heel on WWE RAW this week would also be a really good step for her, especially if she has Ric Flair in her corner to cut promos on her behalf, because it may achieve something that WWE has failed to achieve with Charlotte Flair for so very long- have her garner audience sympathy.

#3 Jinder Mahal returns to WWE RAW with an entire Indian faction

Could Jinder Mahal return to WWE RAW with an Indian faction, including two 7-foot tall giants? If you caught WWE Superstar Spectacle last month, you must have seen how Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, two men that have been friends since their days in 3MB went up against one another in the main event match.

But two giants could make their debuts on WWE RAW, accompanying Jinder Mahal to the ring, to make their presence felt. They are Giant Zanjeer and Dilsher Shanky, who compete in the grand tradition of Indian big men like The Great Khali, with an innate sense of athleticism that he did not possess.

So, on WWE RAW, we could certainly see Jinder Mahal and his faction step up to Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, and possibly Keith Lee to announce that an Indian takeover was now imminent. This could be a storyline that continues until Elimination Chamber because there is a Mahal vs. McIntyre story to be told even now.

#2 Bray Wyatt returns to WWE RAW following the brutal attack from Randy Orton on Alexa Bliss on last week's show

Whether or not The Fiend will return to WWE RAW is the burning question (no pun intended) at this moment. Sure, a kind and benevolent soul like Bray Wyatt may forgive the odd incineration or so, but to have your lady friend, Alexa Bliss, eat an RKO in the middle of the ring changes the equation. In fact, fans are upset because Bray Wyatt did not show up during the 2021 Royal Rumble match to exact revenge against Randy Orton, in what was a missed opportunity.

Could Bray Wyatt show up on WWE RAW this week to remind Randy Orton that he has powers that the ordinary mind cannot comprehend?

Maybe it all builds to a massive match at WrestleMania this year, where Randy Orton has to compete with The Fiend in a Firefly Funhouse match, much like John Cena had to, last year. Or maybe we see a House of Horrors match on WWE RAW to the delight of fans.

#1 Carlito takes the fight to The Hurt Business on WWE RAW and enters the US Championship picture

Could Carlito enter the US Championship picture on WWE RAW after the appearance he made in the Royal Rumble match? Last year, we saw MVP return for a cameo, and then he became the leader of The Hurt Business, the most dominant stable on the WWE RAW brand.

To say that Carlito is in ring-shape would be an understatement, as you can judge from SK Wrestling's own Jeremy Bennett's reaction. It would be a waste of an appearance to only bring him for a cameo and then send him off to Puerto Rico.

Could he take the fight to The Hurt Business on WWE RAW, mixing it up with someone like Bobby Lashley? It makes sense for him to do that, considering that these two men know each other very well.

Bobby Lashley needs a feud that can garner headlines, and a scuffle with Carlito is certainly what the doctor ordered. Old-school fans are certain to be hyped.
